Played the Waterloo Course, pleasantly surprises as it is a short course. Greens were 10/10 for this time of year.

Winter
Normally two 18 hole courses Waterloo and Wellington. During winter Trafalgar comes into play being a mix and match of both courses. Protects the dampest part of the two courses. A little muddy but still excellent condition for winter. Both 18 holes reopening next week 14th Feb.Reviewer Rating

Disappointed
Start with the positive; the Wellington Course was in good condition, particularly the greens which were slick and fast. The negative was that after 4 hours we had only played 11 holes. At that point we gave up as we didn't have the time or patience for a 7 hour (equivalent) round. Very disappointing!Reviewer Rating

loved the course . Fairways in top
Condition and greens were well kept and fast . Maybe a bit short for big hitters but ideal for us mortals who drive 230ish. Need to keep it on fairways as the rough means bit of ball searching really enjoyed the course. Scored 32pts for a high handicap 20.

Club has welcoming and friendly members with cheerful and helpful staff. Both courses provide challenging "tiger lines" for lower handicappers and interesting and challenging play for higher handicappers. I am moving to Norfolk from Berkshire and have no hesitation in recommending as a club to join or go and play.

been here quite a few times before and as usual very well looked after. Course in very good condition and greens in excellent nick. will be back soon

Superb facility. There are 2 courses available with both having superb greens both in the winter and summer. It is such a good place that I joined the club!

Played early Sat morning in May, got a time relatively easily even though booked late. Course busy as is should be for a Saturday. Greens and course very well maintain greens impressive. A bit more sand needed for some bunkers or re-raked to get sand to bottom. Pretty good value. Good standard clubhouse food available and good pro shop. Very friendly and helpful club

Grass too long!
I have played Sherfield (Waterloo) many time and always enjoyed but the green keeper has elected not to cut the rough so unless you hit straight and often long your ball is gone. A shame as most average golfers will be intimidated by the challengeReviewer Rating

Visited a few clubs in the area, and this was the friendliest and a bonus to have two 18 holers. Joined the club on a flexi deal, great value, look forward to playing more often

Good course, with one or two challenging holes. Front nine fairly straight forward, with an interesting back nine. the 18th approach to the club-house is one of the best holes I have played.
