What the club says: Waterloo Course - This picturesque and mature course takes you through woodland and parkland and features several trademark holes. A birdie opportunity awaits you on the very first hole of the Waterloo course, a lengthy par five which requires an accurate tee shot as a dry ditch traverses the fairway. Water is a challenge on the course too, especially at the par three 5th where a lake guards the tilted green. The front 9 is deemed to be the easier of the two. Try to make your score and then hang on through the back 9 holes.

Wellington Course - The Wellington course is slightly longer than it's counterpart and consequently offers a different challenge. As the Waterloo, the Wellington course unravels it's way through ancient Hampshire woodland and landscaped parkland. Well tended fairways and manicured greens make both courses a fantastic golfing experience.

Wide and forgiving

Set in mature parkland these two very well maintained courses (Waterloo & Wellington) are perfect for the beginner/casual golfer - hence they get pretty busy. We played the Wellington course, which although longer than Waterloo is apparently more forgiving. Look forward to playing Waterloo next time.

Waterloo Course - Great course

Waterloo course is perfect for me as a 24ish handicap.
It's slightly shorter yardage than it's sister course (Wellington) so ideal for me as I'm not a long hitter.
Already planning the next visit can't wait to introduce the course to other Golf Mates

Waterloo

Lovely setting, a little more difficult for the high handicapper with too many ditches in prominent places. Very welcoming and the course in excellent condition. Food / drink and service excellent.

Reading vs Swindon

We love this course, greens were great, bit of a pile up on the 2nd hole but it evens out later on and pace of play improves. Greens are great, service is top notch. Julie and her team look after all golfers. The

Nice course

Course was very well kept, putting greens were quick & in good condition. Cheap round & buggy hire for later tee times. Quite busy & felt a little slow but round took just over 4hrs so not all bad.
There were no stand out/feature holes but nice course none the less.

Made a nice change

Play The Downshire every week but tried this course for a change. Buggy on a very hot day was a great idea as there are some long routes to some of the holes. Four of us and kept getting two balls and one ball going up behind us. Let 3 through so didn't want to let anymore through as wed never finish,
club very friendly but wasn't clear where you checked in, arrow pointed to golf shop but we discovered there was no shop, had to check in at the bar. overall a great day of golf.

, but not Enjoyable round

The Wellington course was in good condition, the greens were well kept, although I found them difficult coming from a links course.
I would recommend the course to visitors if they choose the earlier cheaper tee times.
You will enjoy the setting, the ponds with geese are very attractive.
However I cannot remember any of the holes especially and would find it difficult to pick s signature hole.
Overall, a lovely setting and an enjoyable game but not special in any way.

Helped us stage our MacMillan Longest Day Charity event and excelled in everything they did.
We couldn't of done it without them.

Most enjoyable course even on a wet day. Course in good condition although greens were a little unpredictable. Pre golf clubhouse food and drink was excellent. Helpful staff.

First Game since lockdown finished

Wellington course in good condition. I had heard that it could get boggy but no issues. Fairways good as were greens. Also was considering joining and did so after the round! Can?t comment on clubhouse yet as still being renovated, but looks like it will be very nice

muddy in some areas, drains well on most of the course. I've seen it in better conditions but I'll chalk it down to the time of year, fairways can't be cut this time of year however the drainage is an issue on some holes. Marked off green aproaches with exclusion ropes indicate waterlogged soils.

Good Challenging Course

When I play on that day it was heavy rain and the ground become very soft on certain hole which affect the flight of the ball if you don?t get it right plus very strong wind make it so difficult but if the weather is good I believed you can enjoy more. Quite challenging course and will benefit for those who can hit long either with their iron or driver
