Highly Recommended 2018
What the club says: Waterloo Course - This picturesque and mature course takes you through woodland and parkland and features several trademark holes. A birdie opportunity awaits you on the very first hole of the Waterloo course, a lengthy par five which requires an accurate tee shot as a dry ditch traverses the fairway. Water is a challenge on the course too, especially at the par three 5th where a lake guards the tilted green. The front 9 is deemed to be the easier of the two. Try to make your score and then hang on through the back 9 holes.
Wellington Course - The Wellington course is slightly longer than it's counterpart and consequently offers a different challenge. As the Waterloo, the Wellington course unravels it's way through ancient Hampshire woodland and landscaped parkland. Well tended fairways and manicured greens make both courses a fantastic golfing experience.

Great CoursesPlayed The Waterloo last week and the presentation of the course and condition of the greens was superb so decided to come back this week for the Wellington - equally as good and commend the green keepers for their ability. We play at a number of Crown courses but these 2 are some of the best.
Waterloo Course quiet oasisSherfield Oaks has two 18 courses the Waterloo, which I played and the Wellington their flagship course. The Waterloo is a varied 5600 yard course in quiet Hampshire countryside with some challenging par 3s, tight par 4 10th and water hazards. True greens it is nice to be able to reach some greens in regulation being a retired golfer.
Hidden gemVery nice golf course and the staff is super and welcoming.

Greens unplayableDamage to greens makes them unplayable, work is being done to repair but this is taking a long time.
(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 93 Handicap: 13.7)
mixed conditionFairways generally ok though greens a little disappointing as they are still recovering from a winter disease. However still great fun overall and very good value Golf Day.
(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 89 Handicap: 20.4)
Terrible greensAll the greens on the Wellington were covered with patches of no grass filled in with sand.

KTcourse wasn't in the greatest of conditions although their working hard on it. very wet and boggy, greens very poor

18 played across 2 coursesThey have the 'Trafalgar' course in play at the moment. This I believe is to save the holes on both courses that are suffering.
You play the front nine of the Waterloo course before jumping to 4 holes on the wellington course and then jump back across to the Waterloo. Most of the fairways are OK, the greens are slow and currently the grass is infected so they are incredibly bobbly.
This is usually a great venue to play and even better with the green fee deals, unfortunately this time was a real disappointment.
Greens Really PoorI appreciate courses need to hollow tine greens and tee boxes. However the greens had not been levelled and cut and were covered with bare patches. Fairways were also not maintained.
Have played here before and have to say that the course is not in good condition at the moment.
Not long but quite interesting
Nice course, friendly staffNice course (we played the Waterloo), a decent challenge for our society, but nothing too outrageous. Friendly staff and good clubhouse. Greens have some issues with some kind of blight, but they ran true.
Difficult playing in a GaleWicked wind blowing ball everywhere, ball shaking on tee! Greens and Bunkers in great condition.
(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 93 Handicap: )
Lovely open courseVaried layouts with some cross-fall fairways that always leave you in the bottom
Nice course ..!! Never played... they need course guide on each hole!!
Friendly Welcome and Good Course
