Played the Wellington course - nice layout with some good holes. The weather conditions weren't optimal so the ground was frozen but the pace of play was shocking. Took 3.5 hours for a 2 ball to play 11 holes. Not the courses direct fault as a 4 ball wouldn't let us play through but after calling the clubhouse they couldn't come out to sort it as they were short staffed.

Lots of heavy rain in the week so the course was very wet and muddy.

Not bad but never used anything less than a 5 iron off the tee , very short but some tricky holes

Found the Wellington course very open, if you prefer tree lined and shelter from the wind this isn't the course for you!! Club facilities were great and the staff couldn't of helped us more!!

Played in a society today. The course was ok but holding a lot of wate after a torrential storm earlier in the day. However the clubhouse welcome after was awful. Nobody at the bar when I walked in at around 6pm. Eventually got served as we waited for the last group to arrive. Offered my playing companions a drink only to turn around and see the bar grille pulled down aT 6.30. Later group had no refreshment at all after 6.30. No announcement and the staff were wandering around turning off tvs to make it plain we were not welcome and they wanted to shut up. If you were trying to scare away societies they did a terrific job!

if playing the waterloo course you will need you wellies. played this course on march 24 & 31 2010, and i would have to say it was the worse conditions ever. pathways between holes where flooded, all fairways had surface water on them up to aleast 2inches deep.The wellington course is far better and more challenging. would recommend playing this one than the waterloo.

It was ok but watch this space
The course conditions were ok, not amazing but there seemed to be a lot of work going on… the course I think would be a better course for fair weather golfers in the summer as the bunkers were full of water and the course had been suffering leather jackets. It was earlier in the year that we played it so I can only think it was going to get better, if the course conditions met the hospitality and catering I’d mark it 10/10. As I say it was being worked on and GetGolfing seem to be investing a lot in to it and fingers crossed it will be up to their Pyrford Lakes course conditions very soon but a good challenge all the same!Reviewer Rating

tough in the heavy conditions
Potentially a good layout just requiring a lot more work to get to a standard where i would say "yes love to go back" - i'm sure they'll get there given the appropriate weather and time spent maintaining the fairways and greens.10th is a mess - maybe temporarily turn it into a short par 3 to save losing balls on the fairway.

Wellington is quite a long course with some very deep rough at this time of year so distance and accuracy is required.

Rough was insanely thick for a course of this standard (may have been timing with the weather but made it a challenge for anyone deviating from the fairway anywhere). Other than that was in good condition and suitable for the society we played in.
