Excellent condition for time of year
The course was in excellent shape for a wet January. Fairways in fabulous conditions, beautifully defined. Greens were consistent pace and relatively quick considering the amount of rain that had fallen.(Round played: Jan 2018 - Score: 89 Handicap: )

Excellent course, very challenging.
The quality of the course condition is always very good. Best greens in the area. This course is a real test of your golf, and always shows you how good or bad you really are. Any wayward shots will be punished without fail, you must be straight off the tee.At £15 each using teeofftimes it is a real bargain.

Enjoyable Challenge
Played Wychwood with a colleague on a Friday and found it to be one of the most interesting and challenging courses that we have both played. Utilised a 'Group On' voucher so golf was really cheap, from previous reviews we expected a long round, pleasantly surprised to see the course sparsley populated. Situated just off J16 of the M6 it is easy to get too, with ample parking (although security on the estate was a surprise). Pro shop quite well stocked and staff friendly. Utilised the range which was of a good standard (although not covered), normally off grass but off mats today due to reseeding. Had a bacon butty and tea before commencing (?10 for two) off to the course. Greens in excellent condition, very big and very fast. The variation in holes was fantastic, true dog legs, short par 3's, long par 3's short par 4's and long par 4's. Varying degrees of hazards in play including 'bunker city' on most holes, water and trees. A very challenging course and well worth a visit, on this day we walked round in 4 hours without seeing another golfer - this was great, a word of warning green to tee is a good walk on most holes so we would recommend a buggy. We would definetly revisit.Reviewer Rating

Hacker's paradise
Good test of golf being undersold and insulted by the management, these days the course is full of hackers with no etiquette whatsoever, these guys will half an hour to play one hole, no Marshall on the course to check what's going on, some of the guys should not be allowed on the course, the pro should examine their game before letting them loose on the course, I am extremely disappointed that it has come down to this level. Very little refreshment eg sandwiches etc available in the pro shop. Range mate are harder than concrete, poor quality range balls. These guys need to up their game a bit to match the quality of the course.Reviewer Rating

played 2 and a half times sooooo slow
I played with 20 people on a 3 day breaknice tough course in good condition
HOWEVER
1 no course guide - which you need when there so many hidden hazards
2 BIG GRIPE - pace of play ---this has to be the slowest course
day 1 was ok ish - a bit later than we had planned (and had to put dinner back)
but day two
1 1 hour to get the the 3rd tee as we had 3 groups of four bunched up on the second tee
2 we waited on every hole and on every approach shot and were so slow we had to lie or sit down for 10 mins a time -we limped in in just under 7 hours - not enjoyable for anyone
3 dinner had to be pushed back again
on our final day we decided as a group that if we were more than 2 and a half hours for 9 holes we would call it quits
we were 3 hours 10 and the prospect and disappointingly came in
playing this slowly is not enjoyable

Disappointment
The course has potential but doesn't quite live up to expectations. Greens were in good condition but at variable level of dryness, which made judging putting speed almost impossible. On top of this you get concrete-hard fairways craving for water together with unforgiving rough and incredibly slow pace of play. The course was absolutely crowded: we had to wait at every tee for at least 5-10 minutes. I finished my round in just under 6 hours, which is the longest round I ever played... It is not the kind of challenge one would want to face again any time soon.Reviewer Rating

Dissapointed
Played course as a society this weekend, on looking forward to this course can only say I was dissapointed with the overall condition of the course. The greens were in very good condition but this is where it ended - the fairways were overgrown and not very well defined from some of the second cuts further to this vert patchy with large areas of dead fairways. The course had roped off areas that made it difficult to get to greens for no apparent reason - this only added further distance to a long course. Further to this the hole signage is poorly placed when on tees, this would be better situated where you can see whilst on the tees to give guests an idea on the hole. There are cheaper better kept clubs in the area - sadly won't be visiting againReviewer Rating
