Course not in the best condition. Certainly not worth £30. Luckily it was free

Course was in good condition, rough is v. rough but fairways plenty wide enough to avoid. Bunkers are huge but maintained very well. I will not return however as pace of play is RIDICULOUS (played 3 rounds all nearly 6 hours)

Having played this course in the past I was amazed at how poor it had become. The fairways were uncut with no definition between fairway and rough. A most disappointing experience as I had told my playing partners how good it was.

Greens were quik but patchy and quite a few putts jumped half way. What was really annoying was the buggy running out of battery with 4 holes to go. We managed to make it to 18 but meant only one person riding and it being pushed uphill.

Played this course this weekend. The actual layout is very good, lots of doglegs and challenging holes but the condition of the course is frankly shocking. Tee boxes are offensive and the greens poorly maintained. This is clearly a course used for golf breaks and societies and many people who don't play often and therefore thinks like taking bunkers and repairing pitch marks does not happen. It has the feel of "they don't care so we won't" about it. Such a shame as it could be very good

I'm really not sure how this course ever got a high rating for its condition. I found the greens to be patchy and faded and the fairways and T boxes untidy and worn and it seems like they've been that way for a long time. The course layout isn't bad but the whole place has that minimum maintenance maximum usage look and feel about it. We got the game through Toff times and it cost £10 per player and that represents a fair price, but any more than that would be, in my opinion, poor value.

The greens were very lumpy and I lost 4-5 shots through the bobbles. Diego the rain the bunkers were like concrete, so getting out was hit or thin.

Front 9 was better than the back 9. Greens were inconsistent in pace and some were just poor! Club and facilities are very good.

Worth a visit

Lots of bunkers - the major course defence. A couple of cracking Par 5?s on the opening 9. Be aware this isn't a golf hotel more a hotel with a golf course attached. Good facilities indoors with 2 restaurants, a pool and gym facilities.
