What The Club Says
Calcot Park is an undulating, traditional, parkland course and is recognised as one of the best in the area. It was designed by Harry Colt in 1930 who also built, amongst others, Beaconsfield, Denham, Stoke Park, Sunningdale Old, Swinley Forest along with the East and West courses at Wentworth Club in Surrey.
The 18-hole course, Par and SSS 70, is 6216 yards long off the White Tees and is acknowledged as a demanding, yet fair test of golf. There are two par five's, both reachable in two by strong hitters and four excellent par three's, including the 7th, our signature hole, played across a lake to an elevated green.
The 13th is played across a stream in a shallow valley to a contoured green. The course opens and closes with two, long par four's. There are three small practice areas, practice nets and two practice chipping and putting greens.
Calcot Park has an abundance of mature trees and shrubs and the areas surrounding the course are home to a variety of wildlife including badgers, foxes and deer.

Needs some work
I like the layout of the course but it's looking shabby since the lack of rain, lots of bare patches on tee box, fairways and greens were a bit bumpy.Reviewer Rating

When the starter has a Green Starters Jacket, you known it’s a good quality course.Very mature tree lined parkland course with an easy walk, undulating fairway, dogleg holes, fairway bunkers, lateral ditches & water hazards therefore course management comes into play with true undulating greens.
The greens, fairways & bunkers were all in good condition. Off the yellows its 5834 so it suits all handicap. It’s just the greens so fast.
Driving nets, large practise putting chipping green. Great Club house, friendly staff.
Overall a very excellent course will definitely play it again and worth a visit. I went on a corporate day, otherwise a bit prices @ £70 during the weekday

Slightly rough around the edges
A tough course when the wind blows !! Greens very slick and extremely tricky (lumpy) Clubhouse is somewhat dysfunctional and has been extended and modernised over time and fails to flow. Bacon rolls were excellent, buffet lunch post seniors pairs open was ok but nothing fabulous. Quite a hilly course but very walkable.Reviewer Rating

Not so intelligent golf
Unfortunately they appear to be struggling to keep their booking system and communication in line with weather. Despite being closed for a week they had bookings available through both golf now and on their website. I made a booking and no one made an attempt to let us know the course was closed. The email link they send doesn't actually link to the course status and all appears fine unless you click on the menu where it is hidden. Arrived at club no apology - simply a refund. Having driven over an hour to play the course it was disappointing that they were unable to manage this basic administration task.Reviewer Rating

Pleasant course with killer greens
Calcott Park is a nice pleasant parkland course that has the look and feel as if you're playing in the park of the manor house. The fairways are open and the course would be relatively straightforward if it was not for the greens. Most of the greens appear to be on a slope and are quick. It's easy to leave many downhill putts 10ft short or off the green.Reviewer Rating

Great parkland with tricky greens
Enjoyable round with course in great condition apart from one dry and bare approach on the 12th. Greens were had and fast and front pins were very difficult to play to.New chef provided a well presented and tasty dinner.
