This is a lovely course
I really enjoyed the course today which is in very good condition and is quite challenging but enjoyable at the same time(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 97 Handicap: 22)

Good woodland course
Greens & bunkers in very good condition. Fairways could be cut a little shorter but otherwise the course is thoroughly good despite recent wet weather. Friendly & courteous staff.(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 109 Handicap: 22.3)

Considering the weather the course was in great condition especially the greens which were perfect. Challenging course for a new person with slopes and long par 4s. It's does have forgiving wide fairways in the back 9. Great club

Nice course in London
A hilly course. Not for those who are unfit. Steep hills to climb on the front and back nine, finishing with a steep climb to the 19th hole.Beautifully maintained, and well served by transport links.Reviewer Rating

I was pleasantly surprised at this hidden gem. Played our society here. Food and service excellent plus good value. The course was challenging and views fantastic. There were plenty of practise facilities.This would make an excellent venue for a party or wedding as the room was dressed for a wedding for the next day and I don't know who dressed the room but it had the wow factor. White twinkly lights and drapes from the ceiling. Very nice.

The course had been prepared for the London Open and was in excellent condition. The greens were immaculate and fast. It's a lovely setting with much of the course on hilly ground with impressive views to the City of London The club house is modern and well appointed.

Great value course at £20 on a Sunday. Good practice facilities including grass driving range, bunkers, chipping green & putting.
Course is in pretty good condition, a few sections being worked on but doesn't take anything away from the enjoyment. Fairways a bit dry in patches. Greens were a lot quicker than last time played here.

Enjoyable round, course having a lot of work done on it and have seen it in better condition before but still enjoyed.

Challenging picturesque course, good true greens, fairways in good condition. Better signage between and on Tees would of been preferred

Considering this is ranked as the "4th Best course in Essex" I was far from impressed. There were far too many temporary tees and most of the tees were very uneven. There was 3 fairways where there was surface water and far too many bald patches and heavy mud considering only a short downpour the day before. Also the signage for the next tees were very unclear and there was no indication of playing from temporary tees. Surely to be rated that high it should be in good condition all seasons there are "lesser" courses around that play better all year round..
