Pitch and Putt

Lovely little course in a very nice setting within Epping Forest. Slightly rough around the edges. Friendly staff and very helpful.

Great Learning Course

Started playing golf in September 2022. We went to a few golf courses to begin with being new to the sport and out of the several golf courses we went to High Beech was the most welcome. To us this is the best learning course you can use. It’s not a PGA tour playing course by any stretch of the imagination but what it is is a friendly and very social club despite your abilities. The Red Course is a Pitch and Putt course it’s a fantastic why to learn how to start hitting balls and the Yellow is for the more experienced. Some of the greens are not in top top condition but it is what it is. If you can play High Beech you can play anywhere. If you’re new to the game, or just want a knock about with your mates in the summer months without any pressure from anyone else you can’t go wrong with High Beech, they even sell beer!! This is a gem of a place hidden and tucked away from public transport, so unfortunately you’ll need to drive to get there but during these summer months it’s starting to get busy so try to get there early.

Beautiful Forest Course

Hidden gem within Epping Forest, takes 80-90 min to play the yellow course or 60 - 70 min for the red course. Excellent if you've don't have time to play long 18 holes. Great to practice the all important short game.

Excellent tricky holes

Very wet & muddy conditions due to bad weather, it is what it is, not much the club
can do with bad weather conditions for last week or so.

It's got a few challenges, greens are tricky. Great course to work on short game. Seldom busy, played late afternoon and had the course to ourselves.

Played here today for the first time in about 5 years. Absolute dive. Practice green wrecked. Tees unusable, fairways awful(regardless of lack of rain. The greens are falling to bits and the general mess around the course is unbelievable. £17 I paid for my 13 year old and myself. I feel robbed. Don’t bother going here as it is a waste of time and money. Hobbs cross or Fairlop waters are both far superior in every way.

Home of the short game

Great local par 3 course, friendly staff and reasonably priced green fees.choose the pitch and putt course or the full size par 3 course. Both are nine holes. Practtice nets and oractice green mean you can work on your game or just get warmed up. No hot food , but hot drinks and snacks , also nice pub next door for food if younwish.

I live on Wellington Hill so I'm lucky enough to have this course opposite my house. I love the long par 3 course, most of the holes are around 150-180 yards, and one is 220, so a really great place to practice. Very well kept fairways and greens, and surrounded by the amazing Epping Forest. A real gem

Played on the short p&p course with my girlfriend on Sunday, she had never played before and loved it! Pretty basic as you would but some nice looking holes, and amazing views from the 1st tee. Haven't played the longer par 9 yet but the 1st looked amazing, very holy, will be back!

The par 3 is very bland and the greens are not well kept.
It costs £8 for 9 holes. For location of this course this is just plain greed.
When you compare that prices for the deals that can be got for 18 Holes on a full golf course. The p&p is nothing special for the price they are charging.
I would avoid this place at all costs.
