Another quality cornish course.
Another solid course down near Padstow and another course worth a visit if you can sneak away from the family. A solid open course, where at this time of year the odd wayward drive goes largely unpunished, which would not be the case once the rough grows up. Wide fairways where if you're unlucky you'll end up with a ball above/below your feet, but in the large part a solid and faiur course for the higher handicapers. Despite being on the coast, there's only a couple of coastal views which could help out on a windier day, but big greens and good bunkers make this course very playable. Two slight down points were a) Temp green on the first, which isn't ideal when you're only playing the course once, but the work going on at the first makes that green look very decent. B) Pitchmarks on the greens... No being a "Nomadic" golfer as people like to call us, I make sure that when I attend a course, I treat it with the respect that I would give my home course (if I had one), but the amount of pitchmarks on the greens where shocking.. and I was the first person out on the day, so couldn't even use the groups before me as an excuse. And it shouldn't be up to the greenkeepers to go around and repair players pitchmarks as they've got enough on their plates to make sure the rest of the course is playable. But all in all it was a good place to place and is somewhere I could play week in, week out... however I think the 5.5 hour drive might get a bit tiring after a whileReviewer Rating

Outstanding links.
This is not placed un the UK top 100 without good reason, it was in exelent condition, tricky course with stunning views to boot. The club house, Pro shop and locker rooms are all high quality even the courtyard is a spotless. The course itself is excellent, definitely my favourite Cornish links of the half dozen I have played so far.
On a relatively calm day the course requires thoughtful play with bunkers everywhere and fast multi-tiered greens ready to ruin your score. But on a windy day I should think it would easily frustrate the average golfer.
Finally I have to mention the driving range which unfortunately is not up to the standard of the rest of the venue. There are no distance markers on yhe range and no rubber tees on the mats so you must use your own.. which if they spring forward after a short you must say good bye to or risk entering the line of fire to retrieve them. Also the range is about 400 yards down the raod and downhill from the 1st tee so be sure to leave time to get back and recover if you are warming up!
Fairly pricy at £85 but worth it.

Stunning Links
A great links course with amazing views.Obviously depending on how strong the wind blows will determined how tough the course plays.
The fairways are fairly wide so its a great course for players of all abilities. The greens are super fast and sometimes easy targets but the pace is the real defense.
The bunkering is designed as such so it will catch a lot of players out both off the tee and around the green.
A great fun course to play in great condition and superb views.

Beautiful and Outstanding Course
This is one of the most challenging and beautiful golf courese I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Good shots are rewarded, and many times the views around the course negate the feeling of a bad shot. We stayed at one of the on site lodges and it was tremendous, dinner in the restaurant is not to be missed. The course was in fantastic condition, would play here every week, if I lived closer....(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 84 Handicap: 8.3)

super course the 4th green is the best view in the world
Played during some parched weather so would love to play again when more lush as i'm sure it would look even better.Trevor Ashton the starter was so friendly and helpful and so knowledgeable about Trevose and many other courses so do say 'hello'.
The course heading down to the beach on 4 is just amazing. Then it reminds me of Nefyn's holes which are set back from the sea too.
The holes are all of a high quality - great looking/super greens. But nothing quirky/sensational/standout like St Enodoc. Just to say all holes are great.
I found the back nine easier suiting a natural drawer of the ball (+2 for the nine).
Like I said on my St Enodoc review if you come down this neck of the woods you simply must play St Enodoc, Trevose and Saunton (East) - all great courses. Hard to pick a favourite as all 3 so different. Go do it - Took 4 hours to drive to St Enodic (with a lunch stop from the midlands) - 3 rounds 2 nights you won;t be disappointed.
There is some amazing looking accommodating on site but never go a chance to check it out as had a 90 minute drive to Croyde to play Saunton on day 3
