We paid £57 each for the round which for a top 100 club feels reasonable, the problem is that Trevose is a club living on past glories and is not in the same league as courses like St Enodoc which we played the day before.
The course itself is very forgiving with wide fairways and straight forward greens, the bunkers, whilst incredibly good quality don't come in to play (I play off 12 and didn't go near one all day). Each hole feels very similar to the last with no unique individuality. I could remember every hole at St Enodoc but within 20 minutes of finishing at Trevose could remember 2.
The whole operation feels very commercial which is a real pity as last year when we played the course the whole set up felt very different. The staff were professional and polite but that was it, for £57 I want to feel like its special not another number.
The course itself was undergoing some works with new bunkers and plenty of areas that felt tatty that should have been having work had seemed to have been forgotten. The greens, as you would expect for any links course were great but they didn't make up for what I felt was very poor value for money.
I would not rate this in the top 100 by any means, maybe 30 years ago, but times have moved on and Trevose hasn't.
I won't be returning and with so many courses near by that are cheaper and a better and sterner test of golf I know I won't be missing anything.

I was eventually able to get into the reception to pick up a scorecard thanks to one of the caretakers and had to leave my CC behind as insurance. Because of the timings I was unable to get a drink from anywhere so had to set out on my round feeling pretty thirsty. Concentrating on the course for a bit I found the front 9 very enjoyable especially the holes along the coast. I was concerned beforehand about the greens down to hearing stories from previous visitors but I was relieved to see the issues with them had gone and they were in top condition.
I then reached halfway and was looking forward to getting a well needed drink from the half way hut but with me going out so early that was closed so I ended up having to walk back to the club to pick up a few drinks. I then continued with my round and was glad to find the rest of the course enjoyable to play. I would probably put the 17th down as the highlight on the back 9.
Overall it would be a course I would play again but because of the service I received I cannot see myself playing it in the future.

Nice course, but wouldn't pay £65 again for it.

I’d say it’s a little expensive, not totally convinced it’s in the English top 100 but it’s not far off, it’s a nice introduction to links golf and worth a visit.

Good course for practice
OK course for practice. Played the championship course the day before and decided to try the Headland course, felt expensive at £29 a round for a course that is very limited and could only be used for practice.(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 52 Handicap: )

Headland course
Played here on a bright but breezy day . The wind here will make all the difference to how your round goes ! The first four holes play into the prevailing wind and includes 2 x long par 3?s. , at 182 and 220 yds . The view playing into the 5th green could easily distract your approach - stunning sums it up . The wind helps a bit more on the return - holes 6 to 9 . Essential to find the fairways which were generous but miss them and the rough can cost you shots . Enjoyed playing here and will try to return on the future . Well stocked shop and friendly staff . Did not use the bar / restaurant due to time but the whole complex welcoming and friendly . Good accommodation on site too , so would make a good venue for a golf trip .Reviewer Rating

Great course, beautiful location.
This is the most beautiful location to play golf and in such fantastic condition. The European Legends Tour are set to play the course this week and they're in for a treat. It helped that the sun shone and there?s was no more than a gentle sea breeze. The course is well baked and so very firm, well cut fairways and lightning greens, manicured to perfection.
Can't fault this course or it's staff.

Wet and Wild
We got the glorious unpredictable English weather with some rain, wind, clouds and even a hint of sun.It wasn't my first time playing Trevose, but it had been a while.
There's some stunning scenery, greens in great condition and overall a great day - I will say though, I think its a touch overpriced. It's a great course, but didn't leave me with that 'wow' factor that some others have. I
