Terrific value course
Terrific value woodland course. Short in yards made up for in strategy, plays off 5400 on yellow. Difficult to review all facilities because of covid, but pro shop was open and seemed well stocked and good guy. You could get takeaway coffee and bacons rolls etc to eat out. Nice little practice green, and some nets. Really well laid out course, a good challenge.Reviewer Rating

nice short course but not easy, if you hit it well off the tee here you have a good chance of scoring. greens were firm but in good condition.

So friendly. Excellent course
I played with my dad on 29/8/18. Course was in good condition considering the recent weather. What was most memorable about the club was the fantastic hospitality. Everyone we spoke to was charming and helpful. We also had one of the best ploughman's we've ever had. 7 cheeses! Would highly recommendReviewer Rating

Lovely course
First visit and very impressed. Not very long, but takes some serious management to get round successfully. If you like smashing it into wide fairways, go somewhere else. If you want a real test of your golfing skills give this one a go.Great reception from Frances (catering) and Kevin (Pro). Food was damn good too.
It was very wet / muddy in places (well it was November) so the course condition rating suffers a bit for that, but most of the greens were in very good condition.

course very nearly immaculate again thanks to the sun,and during the summer months without doubt a course which gives great pleasure and i always look forward to playing due to its wonderful setting(cut into epping forest) and variation of holes (not 1 is alike).
if your not on your game this course will eat you up and frustrate the life outta you (but if this does happen at least the surroundings can be enjoyed)
being able to draw the ball will help no end as 3-4 holes really do need it
only par 69 due to being fairly short i think,but dont assume youll be getting a great score it could easily be your worst.

Interesting course, two distinct layouts - mature parkland and forest. Tough, requires thought. In good condition at present.

Rewarding course, not just a grip & rip bore.

The course is short but tight (in places) with only 1 par 5 which suited me.
More of a thinkers course where you have to plot your way around the course rather than ripping a drive down the middle which is nice.
The course was in very good condition for the time of year, only a couple of temporary tee boxes and one temporary green. A few of the greens were waterlogged especially towards the back few holes but this didn't ruin our round.
The communication I had with the club from start to finish was 10 out of 10, extremely friendly staff and nothing was too much hassle.
The breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly on the day and looked after our party extremely well (the chocolate cake at the end of the round was also lovely)

Ideal Strategic course
Always happy to return here & work on shorter game & more risk or reward options than many other. Well placed hazards, dog legs, trees & bushes all feature as well as bunkers, cambers, & gullies & streams. Greens were v good. Fairways dry & hard. A very good challenge.Reviewer Rating
