Undulating Parkland course on outskirts of Chesterfield town centre. Lovely views of the surrounding countryside and town centre including the "crooked spire" Tees in need of a cut, sometimes like teeing off in the rough. 600 yard plus Par 5 was a good test. Some twitcher tee offs over water. One hole on back 9 horseshoe shaped. Enjoyable if a little slow. Good locker room facilities. Overall good value for money and warm welcome in clubhouse. I will definitely visit and play again on a less windy day

Greens on the academy course need looking at, fairways very short and rough quite long.
Good walk round with varying degree of difficulties on each hole.

Sunny day but very windy, a good looking course, well kept, very deceiving in places, quite challenging, could do with a few marker posts because you are blind on several holes due to the up and down nature of the course and the doglegs, didn't play to my handicap but that's to be expected, course knowledge is a great advantage, greens are very fast and undulating but in great condition, an enjoyable round of golf although I would prefer it had I taken my power caddy.

Good challenging course. tees a bit hard as were the bunkers but overall decent good condition

Visited on a Living Social voucher. Very kind of up and down course, lots of sliding lies and the fairways can be tight in places. Definitely a test and ideally good to know the layout of the course due to blind shots to some greens. Rain has made some areas extremely sodden underfoot the majority of course in good state though. Greens are a little on the fluffy/slow side but probably because of the recent weather. Would paly again now I know the layout but probably get a buggy!

Nice course, short considering it's Par 72. Greens were in condition, a little on the slow side. A mix of holes with Par 4's ranging from 211 yards to 457 yards from the yellow tee's. The 5'th is a monster at 613 yards, 625 from the back tee's. Will play again due to the variety of each hole. Great value for money as part of SIV membership.

a challenging course, especially the back nine which can grind you down if you lose your focus. course is in good condition in a lovely woodland setting. the staff are very helpful. recommended.
