the course played very well, the 9th is now a par 5 so it is 69 not 68, this although ive not played too much recently is my best round ever at this course, its not a very hard course but for the rain we have had its playing very well, there is one hole that has a temporary green but thats quite understandable, i still say that give it a few years and it will come on leaps and bounds, a lovely mornings golf, i was well pleased, the price is also so reasonable.

Golfshake Team Review
A strange mixture of a course, tightly packed in to quite a small area, but interesting. A decent test of your short game, only needing to resort to fairway woods or longer irons after a duff tee shot or wayward drive. Only one par 5 (sub 500yd) but some good par 3's. Not the most picturesque course around with views over the scrapyard, burnt out barns and scabby housing estate and not enhanced by what looks like major redevelopment work. Greens had just been heavily spiked (read tramlines) so couldn't say how they would play when in good condition, but they are mostly small and undulating and looked like they could be reasonably fast.
Cheap, cheerful but a bit tatty. Worth a go. - Apr 23 2007

Course in good condition. Greens receptive, rough challenging, fairways in good nick. A couple of areas need attention ; the small pond on the 9th and the drained pond on the 10th. Friendly clubhouse, reasonable pace of play.
Wet conditions with lots of water in the rough fairways a bit damp but not bad greens good fair value at £15 but still a lot of drying out the same as lots of courses this year

Course is playing very well, congratulations to the ground staff, the greens are fantastic and considering the transition this course has undertaken I think it is amazing at how well it plays and looks. Well worth playing, I may even consider joining.

My friend Les and I played this course today for the first time in about a year, WOW, the course is in excellent shape, the greens are exceptional, considering this course has gone through such a transition it is the green keeper and his staff that need congratulating on their excellent work, the weather was beautiful and a bit of a breeze at times made it challenging, this course is now gaining its character back, it was very busy as I believe there was a competition going on but the flow of play was very good, we will definitely use this course on a more regular basis and I am considering joining.
very good course with some lovely holes. forgiving in places and some short holes to really attack
