Fantastic Panoramic views
At this time of the year the course is not at its best, the greens are like walking on sponge and every footprint shows and leaves it's impression which is terrible for your putting, there is usually 4 temporary greens on the back 9 which in our group we normally just agree that when you land on it the worse you can putt is 2 putts, even though the hole is the size of a bucket the approach is not good. This course has got to be the most panoramic course for miles around and in the summer is a joy to play, the greens for me have always been a problem and this is where for me you can lose to the course, if I can 2 putt I'm happy, they have now repaired the compressor which is helpful for cleaning your trolley and golf shoes the only problem now is the grid where you sit the trolley to clean it, it's to the top, so by the time you have cleaned it and your shoes, you pull your trolley off of the grid and it's packed out with mud again, I don't think they have grasped the situation that when the mud is up to the top of the grid it's needs clearing, I've said this before and I?ll say it again, this club is good but it could be great, no body wants to take responsibility and when you ask the staff some questions all you get is ? it's not my job ? so unfortunately when your given that every time you just give in and don't mention it anymore. The staff are very friendly and helpful generally but I think they lack a leader, someone needs to crack the whip so to speak.Reviewer Rating

Bins let the club down
The coarse is playing very well and the greens are exceptional at the moment, until it rains of course, had a fantastic back 9, shot 41, that’s definitely my best for at least 2 years, what let’s the coarse down yet again are the rubbish bins, does nobody care about this club, yes, there are a few holes where the public walk and they leave their bottles and rubbish but come on green keepers do your bloody job and keep our coarse clean.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 89 Handicap: 17.1)

wet!!!!
Yes i know it was raining( drizzle) the day i played but the greens were just unplayable. Standing water on 90% of the greens. 2 holes actually filled to the cup. Still enjoyed my knock but will know never to come again if there has been a hint of rain.Reviewer Rating

Nice course
The 9 hole course is a testing course for learners, just what we need to improve. On my las visit it was quite windy and parts of the course were waterlogged, course not closed often, you have to decide if the course will be playable. I would rate the course good to fairReviewer Rating

Interesting fairway rolls
Tapton was in good condition with fairways parched, unfortunately a lot of the fairways slope left to right or vice versa so your balls are constantly in 1st cut of rough. A few of the greens looked to have holes in them possibly caused by the heat, apart from these discrepancies everything else was fineReviewer Rating

Testing course under the conditions
Not played here for over 3 years, ground very soggy underneath, course knowledge is very underestimated especially this course, so many leaves on the greens, some are quite poor, the lads i played with were as helpful as they could be as they play it all the time, I had a few good putts, 1,9,10,11,16 and 17 but a triple bogey at the par 3 8th killed me plus a couple of double bogeys, I did enjoy it though, hilly but good exercise, very expensive on the range, £1.50 for a token which gives you about 20 balls, won't be doing that no more, will play again but probably in a few more years.(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 89 Handicap: 14.5)
