Worth a visit

Nice layout, friendly staff. Some long walks between tees. Bunkers need some work, sand packed and lots of stones. Not many rakes around however sand so hard you don't make footprints.

Greens and fairways good and cost very reasonable at £15 a round. Clubhouse and bar are good and new.

Fallen from grace

A temporary opening hole, perched on the hill side adjacent the 6th tee box greets you. Greens with large bald patchy areas, some covered by a blackish substance. The bunkers not fairing much better, their linings visible and falling back into the sand. Having played the course in past years, it was a very disappointing experience. Certainty requires an overhaul, before the new remodelled 1st hole eventually comes on line.

Nice layout - but with many 'blind shots'. Course condition was just 'OK', with greens of variable speed and bunkers with minimum sand.

Nice course, 1st tee is horrible. Hit off a mat which set the tone for the rest of the round. But when you get passed that it's pretty good. Slow play from a couple of 4 balls in front. Club house ok.

Greens too short and some cups cut on slope. Fairways in good condition.

Good course for all standards. Challenging greens at times and a good variation of holes.

Straightforward course but a few long walks between holes.
Limited facilities at club house but Pub within walking distance.

Great to play on a Robert Trent Jones course for such a very reasonable green fee. One appreciate the course design apart from the 10th. Fairways needs improving but greens are in good shape. Back 9 green to next tee box a bit of a trek maybe some holes needs swapping so it flows better and not walk a long way between holes which spoils the joy of playing here.

Much improved course. The greens, tees, fairways and bunkers would put many private courses to shame but the rough is a little bit severe and can add to a long round if the course is busy. The course plays a lot longer than the yardage with the number 1 shot hole a real test. The off course facilities are a little basic and the food a little expensive but otherwise good value for money.

Course in pretty good condition considering the horrendous winter we've had. Like everyone else says there is one rather silly hole but otherwise a really good round at a decent weekend rate. Would play again.
