Decent course. Lack of facilities to grab food during the round. Golf buggies slow. Might as well walk.

Course is very challenging, but considering Summer's here the greens were still being treated. The bunkers were sparse and unfortunately due to so many society players the greens were riddled with untended pitch marks everywhere.

This was a nice course, perhaps a little over priced. Played off the back of playing 5 straight days so tired. 8 bunker shots and 4 penalties cost me a score!

Course very sandy but dry. Greens could do with some work on as very bumpy. Played on a May evening for £7.50, so cant complain at the value for money and will return for throughout the summer

Arrived well ahead of time to warm up etc.
Presented ourselves on the first tee about 12.30ish, for a 12.42 tee off.
Only to find a large society group (about 36-40) there. When approached by one of the group. Was told they were all playing together and we'd have to wait. Two of ten three and four balls had gone, with eight more to go.
A course marshall then came and told us the same. Saying there had been a delay. How long would it take for two people to get past their first two groups?
Obviously the delay came at the snack hut waiting for the bacon butties and teas. Or Mavis and Thelma couldn't find anywhere to leave their zimmer frames. Either way NOT impressed when they were all there at 11.30 when we arrived and were off the driving range then too.
Eventually we were allowed to tee off from the 10th.
The course itself was well presented.
A nice mixture of quite challenging holes. Some well placed bunkers and water hazards.
Some of the flags are a bit misleading (a mixture of white, yellow and red in no order) if you go astray. Not many yardage indicators on the fairways either, and again all different colours.
The greens are quite a challenge. A little disappointed that there was no consistency on them. Practice greens and the first were really quick. But after that you took your chances. Spoilt my card a bit as they are tricky (especially the varying speed and roll), but nice.
The first time we tried to play here the course, shop and bars were all closed. With no notification from the course or information when we got there. Nobody at all there to ask either.
This time. Surely the pro-shop could of advised us about the possible delay?
As much as I enjoyed the course. I'm in no hurry to go back there and therefore after two disappointing visits would be in no hurry to recommend either.

I think it must be a far nicer course in the summer than on a wet and cold spring day.Greens were good and true and the course was well maintained.

Round played: Mar 2016 - Score: 86 Handicap: 12.6. Greens were true and even despite the recent water-logging of much of the lowland area.

Bunkers well stoked with sand which made game saving easier.

Most putts were parabolic curves ! not easy to work out so lost all my birdies

Signing between holes good but you need orienteering skills to get from the 9th to the 10 th tee ! must be at least 400 yards !

Took a long drive to play this course for the first time. Friendly welcome in the pro-shop and free coffee in the clubhouse was a nice touch. Friendly and informative meeting from the starter and off we went. The course was in very good condition despite recent heavy rain. Greens and bunkers were well-manicured. BUT then we came into traffic and proceeded to drag round the course for over 5 hours waiting on almost every shot. We did encounter a marshal on one hole but he didn't seem at all concerned to try to hurry things along. Slow play is killing the game, hence my only moderate rating.

Course in good condition for our society visit. However when we finished, appx 8-9pm, the bar was closed. 8pm on a Friday in June and they can't keep the bar open. Spoilt the end of the day for us, second time this had happened too. Shame , we voted not to return here.
