What the club says: The Club is situated in the charming Stapleford Abbotts countryside where it provides the ideal location for a relaxing game of golf in tranquil surroundings. The Abbotts Course with its mature trees, water hazards and generous fairways will be a test for the proficient player yet enjoyable and compromising for the social golfer.
The traditional, barn style clubhouse was constructed in the 17th century and offers panoramic views over the 18th green. It’s a wonderful finish to your golf while watching your fellow golfers complete their entertaining round of golf. The setting provides an ideal opportunity to recharge your batteries.

Stapleford Abbotts
Played there on 25/11/25 with The Tuesday Club and it was in great condition. The greens were superb along with the breakfast. Great value all round. Special shout out to Max and Sam who made us feel very welcome. Deffo coming back soon.Reviewer Rating

New discovery - Love it!
Played as a member of a Society and this course suited me perfectly, nice and level so no need for a buggy, easy to navigate and just the right level of challenge with hazards that are not too brutal and avoidable if you don't take silly risks.Great clubhouse, lovely staff and really good food.

Gone downhill!
Played here today for first time in a couple of years. Really disappointed in the course condition. The first tee box (like the rest) looks like it’s hasn’t been cut in 2 weeks and hasn’t been given any maintenance. The bunkers are appalling with minimal sand and stones for added effect. Pleasant course with many doglegs!

Worth a visit
Play here quite regularly and after yesterdays round I have to say it was in the best condition I’ve seen it. Greens good and course nice and tidy. Clubhouse staff always friendly and for £29.50 for 18 holes including breakfast it’s a no brainer. Looking forward to the next time.Reviewer Rating

Most of the course was in good condition but there were places that were very very muddy even some of the so called pathways, plus some of the tee boxes were very muddy too

Alway worth a visit

For the location and price to play on a Saturday morning you can't beat this. ?30 non member at 830 on a Saturday. Course is OK and you can see it probably was a very challenging course. Feel like it probably needs a bit of TLC with the potential of this course is very high.

Superb Society Day at Stapleford Abbots
17 of us descended onto the Stapleford Abbots course playing off the Yellows. A fee of £36 each with Bacon Roll on a Saturday Morning so reasonable overall. Sam and Maxine and the ladies did an excellent job of helping and sorting out our needs as well as the excellent marshall who was very helpful. I was the only one who had played the course regularly and I have to say with all the Bad weather we have had, the course was in superb nick ( a minor quibble was the greens were a little long ) but it was very good overall. Excellent kept course which was very quiet on an early Thursday evening and a bargain for ?15. Very open course with lots of doglegs which I'm sure regulars cut the corner off and good placement of fairway hazzards (ditches/ponds) which means you can't just hit driver all the time.

Played Stapleford Abbots mid Jan after a stint of poor weather, the course had not held up well. Fairways muddy, greens very scrappy, reflected in the price but will not come back until the summer.
