One of the best parkland courses in Kent
Just played two weeks after Regional qualifying and the course was in superb condition. The course is hidden away off the A2 and is a delight. The clubhouse is lovely with a terrific balcony for watching the 18th approaches. Facilities are top class and staff are very friendly. Practise areas are close to the first tee with the range also adjacent, but not suitable for drivers of the 300 yards variety. Fairways are wide and well maintained and on the front nine easy to see your landing areas. The back nine becomes a little more tricky to find and position. The real strength of the course is the green complexes which are well defended and the greens themselves beautifully paced, consistent and reward a good knowledge of their slopes. All in all this is a great day out. Played on a Friday so a little more expensive than the bargain county card rate mid week but compared to The Wildernesse which has become pricey I know which one I prefer.Reviewer Rating

I must admit having lived in Kent for many years I've only heard about this course recently having now played it will look forward to visiting it again challenging layout with high rough and quick undulating greens a very good test of golf.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 83 Handicap: 10.7)

The course is in excellent condition and is quite testing without being arduous. Not hilly but enough ground variations and whilst there are some trees not enough to make it hard. The clubhouse is of a very high standard and service was good.
