What the club says: Redlibbets Golf and Country Club certainly is a gem nestled in 160 acres of beautiful Kent countryside. The parkland course boasts hundreds of mature beech, oak and chestnut trees and enjoys spectacular panoramic views.
Redlibbets, under new management from August 2018, is now run by a team of golfers with genuine pedigree where the condition of the course is considered as critical to a great day's golf.
The greens are sand based to USGA specification and the rest of the site is free draining with a chalk subsoil.
The clubhouse offers wide-reaching views across the site with a balcony that seats 75 people, with additional internal space across three bars for a further 200 people. Our resident chef offers an excellent array of dishes and bespoke orders (in advance) can be accommodated. Historical reviews by visitors frequently makes reference to the outstanding service provided by our staff, compliments that we are all very proud of.

Sorry to be leaving

I have been a member for the last year. The course is always playable and in tip top condition, even after all the rain. The only reasons I am leaving are slow play and difficulty in getting tee times on a Saturday. Too many members maybe?\I will no doubt play here again as a guest but will not join again especially with the price increase bringing it in line with other local courses equally as good.

Worth a visit

Enjoyable course, some tricky greens and in good condition for time of year despite the frozen ground, icy tees and Bunkers frozen solid.

What a course!

Played the day after Storm Ciaran and the drainage was superb. Just joined as a new member and loving being part of such a great club. The holes are all unique and interesting

Great course but so slow

Redlibbets is an under-rated golf course in Kent, course is really varied and in very good condition it also represents value for money with the facilities also to a very high standard.

However the course management is pretty poor or at least certainly was when we played. Tee times are 8 minutes apart, which is tight, and often tee times are paired together with another group which in principal is fine however this isn't marshalled by a starter (usually) so as expected most golfers then split off into their own groups meaning the course is at some points playing two tee times every 8 minutes.
This for us left us waiting on every hole before walking off at 12.

As a course great it just needs to be managed better to ensure a speed of play.

Played the course earlier on in the year and it rained all day but the course was still in good condition.
The day was a lot better weather wise this time but sadly due to injury my game was a bit sub parr.

Good course

Challenging layout with some really interesting holes. Quite hilly.
Greens are excellent, very true. Money has well been spent bringing the place back to former glories and it shows.
Tremendous clubhouse up on the hill with great views across the valley.

Thanks for the 4.5 star review Ian. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the course, our hospitality and food. I'm pleased to say that our greenkeepers are hard at work making improvements on the course, bringing those small areas up to the standard of the rest of the course.

I hope you get the chance to play again soon and see the changes.

Improves with every visit

This course is one of the prettiest I've played and work around the course continues to show improvements. My only complaint would be the bunkers - there is not enough sand to provide decent coverage of the rubber pebbles being used to help with the drainage.
