very disappointing
Played this course with high expectations after good reviews. Ended up so disappointing. It was in terrible condition. I dont know where those saying "excellent condition" have been playing ??? it was truly awful. Id hate to see the other courses ! This was possibly the worst iv played. Tee boxes muddy, uneven, patchy terrible. I couldn't tell where fairway and rough separated. Then the Greens. patchy, bobbly, all over the place. An on line putt would just hit a divot and spin off. Wont be going back im afraid. A real shame.Reviewer Rating

Very poor !
Probably the worst condition course I have played on for a long time. Tee boxes either just mud or very patchy grass. Fairways very patchy and in places hard to tell when fairway started/ended. Greens very bobbly and hard to get a true run. I know we have had a very hot summer but most other courses in the area and not in as poor condition. Wont be going back unfortunately.(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: 17.3)

Very Poor Tee Boxes
The tee boxes were of a standard I would expect from a council run pitch and putt course, very, very, disappointed!!Reviewer Rating

Sorry to be leaving
I have been a member for the last year. The course is always playable and in tip top condition, even after all the rain. The only reasons I am leaving are slow play and difficulty in getting tee times on a Saturday. Too many members maybe?\I will no doubt play here again as a guest but will not join again especially with the price increase bringing it in line with other local courses equally as good.Reviewer Rating

Great course but so slow
Redlibbets is an under-rated golf course in Kent, course is really varied and in very good condition it also represents value for money with the facilities also to a very high standard. However the course management is pretty poor or at least certainly was when we played. Tee times are 8 minutes apart, which is tight, and often tee times are paired together with another group which in principal is fine however this isn't marshalled by a starter (usually) so as expected most golfers then split off into their own groups meaning the course is at some points playing two tee times every 8 minutes.
This for us left us waiting on every hole before walking off at 12.
As a course great it just needs to be managed better to ensure a speed of play.

course is looking good
I continue to be impressed with the improvements here at Redlibbets , since the course was changed around - 1st is now the 10th and vice versa a few years ago, its been nothing but solid progress . from the club house to the greens, all are top quality(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 92 Handicap: 18.8)

Don’t bother - SLOW!!!
It’s painful! They allow multiple people to book the same tee time and it ruins the course. We’ve played 5 holes in 1hr 40 mins and I have time to write this whilst waiting on the 6th tee box.
We tried it in the summer and it was terrible but we thought on a Tuesday in Winter it might be better. It’s not. Don’t bother.

Overall I thought it was a nice course, much more interesting than some of the other ones from the early 90s. I actually think it's a bit of a hidden gem (although not so hidden today). The greens were true and looked inviting to hit and the tee shots weren't boring. There were some nice views as well. I'll play it again and recommend it to any pay and play player.

overpriced
Enjoyed the course. Some fun to play holes but this is really a £25 course at best.£50 is shocking. Quite scruffy in places. Have never played holes where i had to aim for area of green away from where green keeper was working, twice . They were not going to move and unfortunately they were working near the hole, so no birdies on them 2 holes. Staff friendly enough but so many more courses around offering far better value. Might play again if offering deals.Reviewer Rating

Great condition
This is a great example of how a course can be turned around with some TLC and thought process. They have switched the nines and this makes for a much easier walking parkland course - you can tackle the uphill walks early while still energised. The course has been tidied up - neat edges and new signs spruce up each hole. The greens are very smooth and run around 11/12 on the stipmeter. This course requires thought and placement off the tee given the trees lining some holes but the reward is a terrific set up and best of greens we have encountered this year. The service in the Pro Shop and bar were both warm and welcoming.Reviewer Rating
