Dog Walkers are a nuisance

Used to be a great course. Layout is challenging but the dog walkers are a real nuisance as they don’t understand golf and like to walk down the fairways. Bunkers are full of paw prints, more like kitty litter.

easy course to get to

very mediocre course but easy to get to being in the middle of town and not too busy except for the general public walking

Challenging public course

The course is very basic (public) but actually has some interesting holes and is quite hilly which represents a challenge for placement off the tee. Very good price for an easy/practice game

The course is challenging, but being public open space means dog walkers (some irresponsible and inconsiderate) pose a safety issue when they take no notice of the fact golf balls are being hit.
The fairways have suffered during the summer and remain scrubby, and bunkers whilst having been improved in places are still poor. The greens however were not bad all things considered.

Lay out is good greens a different matter

Fairways good
Greens poor had all been marked up with tram lines, no information on arriving at course about poor greens
Temp green on 7th, clubhouse didn't inform when confirming tee time
Constant interruption from walkers and dogs crossing infront without looking, will be a long time till I play here again

Played here today and left very disappointed.after poor weather recently the fairways on the front 9 were not good and you were very lucky to get a good lie as very muddy..greens were poor and slow and bunkers like concrete with no rakes..the middle back 9 were better and the back 9 as a whole is far nicer to play..ive played here before and course has always been well kept but today it felt a bit neglected..the dog walkers and public strolling the course don\\\\\\\'t help matters and you really need to keep your wits about you that you don\\\\\\\'t hit anyone..people walking from the woods on your back swing isn\\\\\\\'t good!..the cafe has been refurbished and was decent but only had a cup of coffee so cant comment on food but looked reasonably priced..probably only visit again as a last resort, real shame as could be a jewel again with a bit of love and attention

Tight course and very challenging. Dog walkers and public access a real issue, spent a lot of time waiting to play shots.

My round was spoilt today by inadequate facilities to cater for frosty conditions. The mats were old and worn and very slippery making it impossible to have any confidence off the Tee. In all honesty the course should have been closed, putting was a complete farce with the hard and numerous wormcasts. This along with the fact it is public space and uneducated dog walkers made for a very disapointing day out.
