Definitely not worth the money!

Having paid ?28 each to play here with a group of 15 I was extremely disappointed in the state of the greens and some of the fairway and tees. The greens were dreadful, my ball got airborne when I putted. Not sure what the issue is but would not recommend playing here anytime soon.

I've played here a number of times but this was definitely the worst condition I've seen the course in ??

Worst condition I?ve seen

The Bournemouth Sunday Crew Golf Society and I have been regular players at this course over the last 7 years , yesterday?s round - the first for all after easing of lockdown , was supposed to be a good welcome back for all
Poor condition all round - Tees, Fairways, Approaches and especially the Greens ! - Pitted, long grass, divots and cycle tracks - not worth ?28 ( used to be ?15 - 18 months ago
We have never played at this course as bad a condition as yesterday
It is a municipal course and public have shared rights if way -BUT - no respect for golfers from Public or their Dogs , children running over fairways without being told by thier parents to look for golfers and last but not least - a whole family of children and parents playing football on the 18th Green
We won't be returning and the course will loose revenue worth approx ?3,640 a year !

Going Downhill Fast

Used to be a well maintained and challenging course, but time and a lack of care from the Council and management have taken its toll. Odd delusions of grandeur in some of its local rules, especially for a course dominated by dog walkers.

I am an ex-season ticket holder here and have recently started to enjoy my golf again. I decided to turn up for a round at queens at about 5 o clock but there was nobody at the shop. Just a sign saying "back shortly" so I played on the putting green for 10 minutes and waited for a further 10 minutes. People could see me from the terrace of the clubhouse! So as no one was waiting to tee off I pulled my trolley towards the first tee and waited there! All of the sudden the guy from the shop came running up to me and shouted no pay no play. I explained I had been waiting 20 minutes for him and was merely just waiting doing practice strokes. He then went on to say I could get charged 75 pounds for playing without paying and there is a regular patrol that goes round. I said again I always pay to play and was waiting 20 minutes which by now means I probably could not finish my round of golf before dusk! He said to me he was at the bar all that time and I should have come up there.

I cannot believe he thinks it is ok to talk to customers like this especially me who has pumped money into this golf club for years and years. I was frustrated and played an angry game of golf after paying the ten pounds that I was obviously going to pay anyway. He ended up accusing me of lying when I was actually expecting an apology. Disgusting service. Never coming to this club again after all these years. Do not go here!!!!

Staff are lovely! But the course is below average! Greens haven’t been looked after at all! The players that attend the course don’t understand the basic clothing requirements. I won’t be attending again as it took far too long to do 9 holes due to a people in trackies and trainers hitting the ball all over the place. Such a shame!!

Dog Walkers are a nuisance

Used to be a great course. Layout is challenging but the dog walkers are a real nuisance as they don’t understand golf and like to walk down the fairways. Bunkers are full of paw prints, more like kitty litter.

The course is challenging, but being public open space means dog walkers (some irresponsible and inconsiderate) pose a safety issue when they take no notice of the fact golf balls are being hit.
The fairways have suffered during the summer and remain scrubby, and bunkers whilst having been improved in places are still poor. The greens however were not bad all things considered.

Played here today and left very disappointed.after poor weather recently the fairways on the front 9 were not good and you were very lucky to get a good lie as very muddy..greens were poor and slow and bunkers like concrete with no rakes..the middle back 9 were better and the back 9 as a whole is far nicer to play..ive played here before and course has always been well kept but today it felt a bit neglected..the dog walkers and public strolling the course don\\\\\\\'t help matters and you really need to keep your wits about you that you don\\\\\\\'t hit anyone..people walking from the woods on your back swing isn\\\\\\\'t good!..the cafe has been refurbished and was decent but only had a cup of coffee so cant comment on food but looked reasonably priced..probably only visit again as a last resort, real shame as could be a jewel again with a bit of love and attention

My round was spoilt today by inadequate facilities to cater for frosty conditions. The mats were old and worn and very slippery making it impossible to have any confidence off the Tee. In all honesty the course should have been closed, putting was a complete farce with the hard and numerous wormcasts. This along with the fact it is public space and uneducated dog walkers made for a very disapointing day out.
