Beware the dog walkers

Old Municipal course which, living locally, has become very expensive especially in the summer. I'm hoping this was due to covid but the price they ask and then you still have to contend with the dog walkers. Sorry guys but the course doesn't warrant what you are asking.

Difficult course with many tight drives to reach fairways. Course is poorly maintained with many bare patches on the fairways. Shrubs and trees not maintained, over grown on several holes
and the club is more caring for the gym facilities than the golf course . No beer for sale in the 19th either.

Umm!

Not my favourite course. There are a lot of footpaths going all over the course with dog walkers having priority. One or two of the holes were a bit "Micky Mouse"

Enjoyable but tight tree lined course

Really enjoyed playing here on Saturday afternoon. Fairly short but quite tight on a number of holes, with pine trees lining almost every hole making it visually attractive. Greens in good shape and fairways in good condition for the time of year and price, much greener & grassier than anywhere I've played for weeks. Par 3s a highlight, and some good par 4s through the trees. Only saw 3 other groups of golfers, so pretty much had the place to myself. A fair few dog walkers and runners but not a problem. I don't live locally (visiting the in-laws) but already looking forward to returning.

The fairways are in a dire condition; finding any green grass is a hard ask. Otherwise the course is interesting with its layout.

The buggy hire is very expensive, but necessary for the hilliness of the course.

The practice range overlaps one hole, which can make finding your ball quite hard, not to mention puts you at risk of being hit.

Absolutely love this course and a superb venue for a weekend away being so close to Bournemouth, however, the condition of the fairways is a concern, we had to use preferred lies the whole weekend with many of them bare. Would love to know if the club are addressing this? Because the greens, the course layout, clubhouse, gym, pool and bar are so good it would not stop us from returning but it is a bit of a shame to see the fairways in such a mess.
