its a value for money course were most people let you join in with them when you are there

I usually meat people to play with at this course and have a double round of golf like a two ball or four ball depends who i meat

The course is a hidden gem. It looks professional from the entrance to the exit. The pro shop is small but has some great bargains and has what you need.
The course itself is cracking. The layout is superb. It is slightly tight and a little hilly. The greens are very good.
The clubhouse is very old in style but has good beer and great food at brilliant prices.
An excellent day out.

Just played here, no buggy, £15. What a little cracker of a course. Have driven past the entrance many, many times thinking it may be a little rough (the surrounding area is not the most affluent or picturesque) but couldn't believe what we found. As James said some of the greens were a little scalped and the remainder a little lush, but they were still receptive to a bit of backspin. It is late October afterall. The overall layout is excellent, if a bit confusing for a newcomer (no course maps and vague yardage markers) with some sweeping dog legs and tempting par 3's, but the locals were friendly and offered lots of advice. Well defined fairways lined with mature trees, some dangerous bunkers and hidden water hazards made for a very enjoyable round. Must try it in the summer, has the potential to be a real stunner.Reviewer Rating

little beauty
Ormonde fields is a cracking little course. It is very tight and requires accuracy at all times. The course was VERY wet, but the greens were still great. The layout is creative and has a great variety of holes. Even though it was very busy the pace of play was spot on.Reviewer Rating

Played early, great value for 18 holes. Good challenge for my level. Greens in good condition and nice variety of hole types, with doglegs both ways.

The course proved difficult for all three of us today, all scoring high. The greens looked good but were slow, perhaps had been watered but too much grass on them. The rough was also difficult to get out of and the ground was very hard in places causing irregular bounces. But we enjoyed the course as always, very friendly staff, we just played badly.
