little beauty
Ormonde fields is a cracking little course. It is very tight and requires accuracy at all times. The course was VERY wet, but the greens were still great. The layout is creative and has a great variety of holes. Even though it was very busy the pace of play was spot on.Reviewer Rating

Interesting and hilly
A very interesting and hilly course. Some tough holes with careful precision shots required to score well. Decent enough condition within the current hot dry spell, greens were fairly slow but true. Nice clubhouse and shop and very friendly staff. Great value for money. Lovely sandwich. The only non-positive comment would be a lack of imagination on the design layout of the course, there are 14 dog legs, some quite severe.Reviewer Rating

An absolute hidden gem
This is a must play course in the Midlands; quiet and hidden away it was in particularly good condition given the recent drought weather, fairways were much greener than anywhere else I had seen. The layout is very interesting, with many risk-reward holes, and good play is rewarded but bad play is punished.throughout the course, all carefully placed to catch poor shots. There are many ditched and ponds The interest begins with a 90 degree dogleg short par 4 over a pond. The 4th hole is a stunning par 5, a downhill tee shot and then a narrow approach to the green which drops off on two sides and has a road on the other. The 10th in one of the most challenging par 5 holes I have ever come across, a boomerang-shaped beast of over 600 yards off the white tees. The 17th is the standout par 4, 446 yards with a blind drive over a hill to a fairway that sweeps around to the left with trouble on both sides. Having played the course the first day I was so impressed I went back and played it the very next day. It is definitely a course where you benefit fro mhaving played it before. And at £15 for a midweek afternoon round, you will not find a better value round anywhere - a great golf course.Reviewer Rating
