Tried as a change as my local courses around East Leicestershire waterlogged for the last month or so. Have played the first nine on the Commander's before but first time using both sets of tees. Course condition excellent, not waterlogged at all and fairways neatly cut. Highly recommend for winter golf.

A good course at a good price.
Played Oakmere as it was said to be a good draining course and most of my local courses are waterlogged. Wasn't disappointed as the Commanders course was in good condition with decent fairways and greens. Worth travelling the extra distance for a decent game at a very reasonable price.Reviewer Rating

Unbelievable winter course
Think it was the only course open in the county due to severe floods and still had run on the fairways, no pools of water except in bunkers, greens still good, unbelievable how dry it was!!!Reviewer Rating

Hills are a killer
Hot day was lovely but hard work up and down them hills.. good course though.. will play again(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 105 Handicap: 20.2)

Excellent course
The improvements made over the last couple of years have made this course even better. Par 3's are all varied, keep your drives straight you can make good score here, wander and you in trouble. Amenities are very good, staff friendly.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 92 Handicap: 13.6)

Excellent All Round
The course is in excellent condition and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Pace of play was slightly slower than expected but this was due to several 4 balls ahead of us as a 2 ball.Reviewer Rating

Not worth the £36 it’s advertised at for a morning weekend round,course still needs plenty of improvement to be worth that,saying that greens were in good condition.

Played 3rd May, after playing in March and enjoyed the course then, I must admit I was a little disappointed on my return. Really like the layout but felt on this occasion the course was playing a a little under par. Greens were slow and bobbly and still had not recovered from winter and the bunkers a little untidy and a few holding water. Still great value 2ball for 26 and will be back in summer. Staff friendly.

Lovely course
I've always enjoyed playing here. Played about 4 times now over the last 3 years & although quite hilly in places, i've always found it to be a tough but fair course(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 93 Handicap: 15.8)
