Nice place to play
Great condition, plenty of variety with the holes. Only complaint is that the car park is always busy, and if there is a function on getting a parking space is very difficult.Reviewer Rating

Course is in great condition, great layout and challenging while also giving some opportunities to shoot a decent score. Was so impressed I've signed up for a flexible membership which looks great value too. Looking forward to playing here much more.

The course has undergone some upgrades recently, particularly the bunkers. In general thee course is in good condition and a pleasure to play. The course was busy but no problems with pace of play. With a visiting society in the afternoon the clubhouse was crowded and very noisy. The other issue is that there is no pro shop so all business is done in the bar on one till. So if buying a drink or meal or paying for buggy or green fee there can be a long queue. Staff also seem to do their business in the bar area, taking up tables. I presume they would not do this if very busy.

A Course Of Two Halves
A fantastic welcome for our society at Mill Green in the comfortable clubhouse. After a coffee and banter we were welcomed onto the first tee and provided with details of the course, the holes we could expect and the history, a really nice touch.The course itself has changed layout recently with the old 10th tee now the first. This means that your round starts on the original part of the course - expect lots of trees, narrow fairways, plenty of water and rough that is totally unforgiving. It provides a fantastic challenge but, if you keep it on the fairway then you're rewarded well as they are superbly maintained. The greens were well kept and difficult to read which added to the challenge.
Halfway round we were welcomed back into the clubhouse for a beer and burger combo which, in hindsight, would have been better received after the round had finished because it was hard to tear ourselves away and back onto the course.
But, we did get back out there and again, were met on the tee with more information and hints on how to best conquer the back 9.
The back 9 itself was like playing a different course, a lot less trees, more forgiving rough and wider fairways however, there were still enough sand and water traps to keep the round interesting. Again, the fairways were fantastically maintained and the greens were as challenging as the front 9.
Overall, the course was superbly kept, very challenging and great fun to play and the staff were welcoming and knowledgeable and made the day extra special. Would definitely recommend a visit and will be getting back as soon as possible.

Unusual set up as pro shop does not exist and you go into the bar lounge to confirm arrival the course itself is a fairly easy 18 track that gets rock hard in summer so if you enjoying hitting your drives miles and miles go to Mill Green.

Have played this course several times. Lots of course work been going on for months. Generally in good condition even at this time of year. Only down side was condition of greens. I must have repaired at least 3 pitch marks on every green. On one I repaired 8.
Good value for money. A 4 ball costs £20 pp.

First time playing here and at ?22.50, it was fantastic value for money. Course is varied and interesting - great for a mid-handicapper, and held up well in the January weather. Staff were very friendly and helpful. One gripe - quality of range balls is appalling!
