What the club says: Welwyn Garden City Golf Course measures 6,100 yards off the back tees and in an undulating parkland setting, the course at first sight seems a relatively easy test of golf. With narrow fairways and small greens, 5 testing par 3s and a 600 yard par 5 it is easy to see why there are many scorecards that tell a different story.

Friendly service in the bar under Covid conditions.

Good but deceptive
On the face of it this is not a very long course even off the back tees. However it undulates a lot so whilst the distances as the crow files may be x, the reality is a lot longer. Greens were not particularly quick compared to what I am used to, but there are lots of subtle slopes etc which makes putting far from straight forward. Overall a good course to play and a decent challenge. Its probably best to play with somebody familiar to the course the first time around. ?25 for a midweek round with a member.

Enjoyable Day
We enjoyed playing the course. Bunkers & greens in excellent condition. The fairways needed cutting in places, but it was apparent that they were being left to grow after being burnt up in the heat wave. Pick & Place was in operation. We felt that additional signage is needed on some holes. We came away resolved to return(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 95 Handicap: 22.7)

Well tended course
The manager realy put himself out to make sure we all received our breakfast rolls and coffee before our round. Very helpfull and cheery staff

Great course with loads of fun holes...
First time I've played this course and it will not be the last

Great test of golf.
Fantastic course, well worth a visit.

Good course with some thought provoking holes
Really good day spent as part of a team on a charity day out, hospitality was great and the club accommodated us brilliantly, the course was in great condition and held up well, especially as the heavens opened on us midway round.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 92 Handicap: 14)

Wardy
Society Day yesterday Aug 7, despite the past few weeks weather Greens were superb, tees excellent. Great course, a lot of the holes quite forgiving for the errant driver, would definitely recommend and return. Good clubhouse, Bar, Food.

A top course
Surprisingly undulating with excellent greens and fairways. Not always having to use a driver as best results come from careful course management.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: 21.9)

Excellent course in fantastic condition
Played on a cold sunny day and course and view were spectacular for the time of year. All greens were in superb condition and all were in use except one where the bunkers were being improved. Great credit to the green keepers.
