Good course but let down today by some of the greens
Some greens were unplayable due to silver birch leafs which meant that chipping and putting were impossible without spending a minute clearing your lines. I know its hard to keep them off but sending a keeper out at lunch to clear them again would make all the difference.Reviewer Rating

Great new setup
Hadn't played here since pre-COVID but some huge changes afoot at now ?The Mill Green?. Under new ownership and plenty of new investment has paid dividends. New bunkers, more water hazards, full turn round of the course so old hole 10 is now the first and the old 10th now becomes a testing opening dogleg Par 5.Clubhouse revamped too though loss of the pro-shop is a downturn to my mind. Anyway, the course is superb and I will certainly be playing here again.

Big changes
New bunkering which improves the difficulty a little but gives much more definition to the whole course. New water hazards which give holes 5 & 7 a new set of questions to be answered. Greens are tricky and quite speedy. Cart paths are improved and good pricing of buggies is a plus.Reviewer Rating

Great value
Played a couple of times and course is generally in good condition, especially the greens. A lot of investment in new bunkers and water hazards, positioning really makes you think about your club selection. An easy walk as generally fairly flat with a few gentle elevation changes.Reviewer Rating

A proper golf course
The last time I played at Mill Green was 10 years ago and I forgot how truly good it was. The course was beautifully presented. The fairways were manicured, the greens were Augusta fast and the welcome in the clubhouse was warm and very efficient. The bunkers are currently being renovated and are not in play, but that was not a problemvforbthiscsand lover. The food was excellent. I would say to anyone looking for a new course to play, with friends or in a Society, this is the perfect course.Reviewer Rating

Beautiful greens
The greens were a delight to play upon and some cutting patterns on the fairways looked impressive. Beyond that, this is a course in transition with remodelling of new bunkers and water features. Old bunkers are roped off, to allow new grass to take hold, with all bunkers GUR. Currently overpriced for what's on offer, delayed start due to overcrowding. Queuing on front nine tee's, no wonder after 2 hrs 40 mins some groups retired to have a beer.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 94 Handicap: 20.7)

Positive changes being made
Played here a couple of times recently and have been impressed. There is quite a bit of ground under repair currently with bunkers being moved and new bunkers being created and once finished, this will bring an even greater challenge. Looking forward to playing here again very soon.
Overall, it's a challenging track but forgiving enough for a high handicapper like me to still stand a chance of scoring well.

A bit confusing and work in progress
Played on 1st April. The clubhouse is in the process of being renovated and various works are in progress on the course. New bunkers are being installed and are free drop area at the time.It is not a long course but still quite challenging in places. Greens are a little variable and there are several water hazards that come into play on many holes. Lots of trees on the front nine but more open on the back nine.
