Umm!

Not my favourite course. There are a lot of footpaths going all over the course with dog walkers having priority. One or two of the holes were a bit "Micky Mouse"

The fairways are in a dire condition; finding any green grass is a hard ask. Otherwise the course is interesting with its layout.

The buggy hire is very expensive, but necessary for the hilliness of the course.

The practice range overlaps one hole, which can make finding your ball quite hard, not to mention puts you at risk of being hit.

Reasonable course far too slow!

Im writing this sitting at the 17th Tee, sitting at Tees is something we’ve done a lot this round! The course itself is pretty nice, fairways and rough a bit tatty but the greens are pretty good. Bunkers are terrible with a 50:50 flint/chalk to sand ratio! It’s a challenging course with many gradient changes and some tricky layouts. The issue is time - 5+ hours for us and we normally expect to finish in around 3 1/2 to 4 on most courses.
Staff were professional if not exactly helpful or friendly case of take the money, cards are over there and that was it. And as other reviews mention too many dog walkers with no consideration or concern for golfers

Good course slightly spoiled by staff attitude to wanting to split card payment over different players. Great first hole!

Too heavily used and fairways are scrubby.
Dog walkers have right of way so watch out as it is so distracting that they don't look at where they are walking.

Better course than the reviews suggested. Heavy rain may have kept the dog walkers away! Slow greens.

Metrics is one of our local courses. We booked through tee off times. We were aware that the cost for a Saturday was very low - £15 for 10am. It was soon obvious why. 18 temporary greens at the beginning of August. Disgusting! Completely ruined our day although with gimmes it led to a good score. Not a chance of playing there again this year. Well hacked off!

Green were in bad condition, some of them really bad and weren't really responsive. Course is interesting. Narrow tee shots, tights green and no 2 holes are the same. Lots of trees. Fairways are ok.

I am a high handicapper so found this a testing course because of it's narrow and undulating fairways and elevated tees and greens. I also found it in poor condition with unclear "Next Tee" signs, some tees without hole number boards, tees worn and greens scarred. There are far better courses for £26 but for a stiff test this one is probably worth one visit.

Played here as part of our annual golf tour, course was very tatty, fairways were dry and cut up (despite the wettest spring in history), the greens were the worst I've ever seen. The course design might be challenging if you play off the white tees, however on the 1st tee a member (who must think he's better than he is because he shanked his drive on the opening Par 3!) told us we have to play off the yellows, then by surprise chance someone from the Pro shop came out to tell us to play off the yellows. The club house is small and was shut when we came in at 3.50pm on a Sat, although you can use the gym bar. If you're a member of a half decent course you will be very disappointed of the condition and facilities here, I would describe it as a challenging 'pay and play' course.
