Needs lots of TLC!!!

General layout of course is good with some interesting holes, greens were in pretty decent condition, but the overall condition of the course was poor, Tee-boxes looked unkept, stones in the Bunkers, fairways were particularly bad with heavy grass cuttings left on the fairway and light ruff. With some investment it could be a nice course but it badly needs quite a bit of money spent on it to bring it up to an acceptable standard.

Played behind a 2 ball who were accompanied by a 1 year old boy & a dog. Terrible sight on the course & when mentioned in the pro shop the 2 staff members were speechless and didn't even offer any sort of apology. Not what you expect from a course that requires all players to remove their hats in the clubhouse.

Not a course I could recommend in its current condition. In order to get a reasonable lie the semi is attractive compared to the fairways which are in most places scorched and rock hard. When you do find grass and can take a divot the course plays as long as previous reviews suggest.
Water hazards and holes in general are in the main a little 'samey', although there are a few that appeal to the eye.
Rough is currently 3 feet tall, so avoid at all cost!
Greens were fast and in reasonable condition although some are almost beyond a joke, with pins on swales so severe that two putts should be celebrated as you would a chip in!
All in all a disappointing experience for a mid handicapper who struggles on tight lies.

i never get on with this course for some reason, its either too dry and rock hard or very boggy with not many days in between and the holes 9 10 and 12 are just silly.

The course is a nice layout and should be a joy to play, were it not for the appalling state of the fairways. It's pretty poor when you'd rather be in the semi rough than on the fairway to ensure you get a reasonable lie!

Greens were pretty good on the whole as they seem to be at most Crown Golf establishments, a couple were bobbly.

Bunkers (and there are a few) have a good level of sand in them and play pretty well, just watch out for the foot prints that some of the players like to leave behind for you to find...

Sat nav in the buggies was a great help for yardages as the stroke saver is the worst I've ever come across.

Glad I played mid week as the condition of the course at present certainly doesn't warrant the £40 weekend green fee price tag.

In need of some TLC

A potential Surrey “gem” unfortunately needing some major renovation which apparently is pending. Fine layout which clearly plays to its length - unfortunately fairways needed a cut, tee boxes reseeding, and distance markers required to bring it back to no doubt better times. Enjoyed, will return but only when the much needed improvements happen.

Good value

Good value at £30 for a weekend round but the drought has decimated the tee boxes and the course is struggling
Still a good experience though

Get there quickly

Once it had a membership, now pay and play[cheaper on-line]. Soon to close for 3 yr development. Play it at least once before it disappears. It is being allowed to run down.

Value for money

Course is in hands of a potential developer and so it is not receiving the upkeep that it normally would and so that is reflected in the tee rates, particularly at weekend. Fairways suffering from worm casts and not a lot of run but greens fine. Tough course but a good challenge.

Good value for money

Course in reasonable condition although quite wet in some areas. Greens are good but it’s not the course it used to be. Sadly
Still very good value for money. Always slots available and friendly service

Tough course

Longer and with more hazards than most pay and play but worth a round or two to test yourself out! Some of the areas on and just off the fairway were a bit long and difficult to find the balls but not bad overall. Quiet on the course and so very relaxing.
