Played the course on a very wet day but it was very well presented with tees, bunkers and fairways in excellent condition. The greens were a good pace but a bit bobbly and in need of a roll. Some very interesting holes and the back 9 is a real test especially off the whites. The par 3s were a little one dimensional with water in front and out of bounds behind. That said I wouldn't hesitate to go back as the staff were friendly and welcoming and a nice relaxed atmosphere in the clubhouse

A fairly straight forward 9 hole course with open tee shots and easy distances but enough to keep high handicappers interested.

Course is always in a good condition, it was very wet and the balls did plug quite a lot but the greens were excellent.

I am a member at mendip golf club i play the course at least twice a week, it is very nice just after a few days of rain like today, but sometimes the fairways are very dry and bare and near impossible to hit a nice shot off

Mendip Spring is a great course just outside Congresbury, south of Bristol. It looks a bit straight up and down on first viewing but the layout is such that you do not really notice this when you get going. A fairly open and forgiving front nine gives way to a much tougher back nine. White sticks seem to be everywhere, water runs alongside narrow fairways and long par 5's make for a difficult run in. The greens were in top condition for the time of year (FEB), running true and fast all day.

They let us pay using 241 vouchers at the weekend so we only paid £19. You would have to check with the club when booking to see if this ok as the guy in the shop took a bit of persuading that we had been told we could use them. The later your tee times the better.

Recommended.

Love!y course worth a visit

Despite quite a bit of work going on laying new buggy paths, the course was very playable and in great condition. Couldn't use the other facilities in the current pandemic but prior to lockdown the clubhouse, people, drink and food are good and real value for money.

Would recommend playing a round on either the main course of the smaller 9 hole which is also great fun and good distances for a smaller layout.
