played a twilight round for £20. it was worth that but not the normal visitors green fee

Course was in very good condition, greens were a little bobbly but give it another couple of weeks and they should be spot on. A very flat but varied course where the back 9 seems to play a bit harder than the front 9. Club and facilities is spot on with a really friendly pro shop.

Played the course on a very wet day but it was very well presented with tees, bunkers and fairways in excellent condition. The greens were a good pace but a bit bobbly and in need of a roll. Some very interesting holes and the back 9 is a real test especially off the whites. The par 3s were a little one dimensional with water in front and out of bounds behind. That said I wouldn't hesitate to go back as the staff were friendly and welcoming and a nice relaxed atmosphere in the clubhouse

i have been learning golf for about a year and went to play the 9 hole Lakeside course last week. It is a bit flat but really enjoyable none the less. My only complaint is there is no course guide available (not online or in the pro-shop or on the tee markings) so for someone who has never played the course before I had to tee off completely blind as to what and where I was aiming. It turns out the first is a dog leg. That is ok for me as my drives only go 170 but could cause problems for better golfers. Then you have to walk back down the first fairway to tee off on the second which isnt exactly safe. It was an enjoyable round that could've been more enjoyable if we had known where we were going!

Love this course again great for beginners and intermediate players good for a warm up before the main course £21 for all day golf

Have just played Mendip Spring for the first time and was very impressed - not only with the state of the course but the whole complex. The Brinsea course is quite testing and, for your first time, line and ball positioning is difficult on the blind shots. However this is more than made up for by the greens which are generous in size and wonderfully slick and true. You will certainly find it easier having played once. We also stayed in the course accommodation which is also excellent. Add to this fine food and very friendly staff and it is difficult not to be impressed. Will be returning soon. I recommend it highly.
