Played the east course on the 21st of January and the course was in fantastic condition, greens a bit hard with frost but great day. Can't wait to come back when it's a bit warmer and don't need to land the ball 20 ft before the green due to the huge bounce on the frost

Good quality course and challenging on every hole! Staff are friendly! The course was very wet but there had been rain a few days before.

Play the course about 3/4 times a month. Have a friend in work who is a member there and although i stay in glasgow, i always look forward to the drive through to Dalmahoy. I have played all big named courses like St Andrews, Gleneagles and Loch Lomond to name a few and without doubt Dalmahoy is in my top 5 favourite courses in Scotland. I love this course. The Big (east) course is longest in scotland from medal tees and every hole is challanging. The Wee (west) course is a great wee course and has its challanging holes. Fantastic hotel facillities alos, really friendly and would recommend to anyone.

The shorter West course provides an altogether different test of your game, tighter fairways and smaller greens call for greater accuracy

Great course to play

The West Course at Dalmahoy, may not be as long as The East, but, it is a little tighter to get round. Some lovely holes, and a great mixture of par 3s, which all leads to a good round of golf.

Two very good courses with excellent facilities. They are both well maintained with a great combination of holes, especially the back nine on the east course. These holes have you playing through a wooded valley with a couple of long hits over marshy ground, eventually emerging into a big flattering hit downhill. The final par 5 is great fun.

The west course is similarly varied, but probably slightly easier. The courses are attached to a hotel and country club and are very close to Edinburgh and are consequently fairly busy but well worth a visit.

Lovely but windy

Beautiful course but ruined by heavy wind. Very exposed until 13th hole then you dip into the valley.

Busy, but understandably so.

Two well laid out courses in great shape, but you have to be too in order to tackle some of the hills. The 1st & 10fh of the east course and the 1st of the west are hits up a hill to an attractive wooded plateau with views towards the Forth bridges. There is a pleasing mix of holes on both courses. On the less challenging west course the last six holes take you down into a valley well below the hotel before battering your way back up. The east course sperates the men from the boys on the last six. I'm probably still a bit immature.

Great for a golf break at the hotel, or an easy day trip from Edinburgh or even Glasgow.
