Great course to play
The West Course at Dalmahoy, may not be as long as The East, but, it is a little tighter to get round. Some lovely holes, and a great mixture of par 3s, which all leads to a good round of golf.Reviewer Rating

The west course is similarly varied, but probably slightly easier. The courses are attached to a hotel and country club and are very close to Edinburgh and are consequently fairly busy but well worth a visit.

Lovely but windy
Beautiful course but ruined by heavy wind. Very exposed until 13th hole then you dip into the valley.Reviewer Rating

Busy, but understandably so.
Two well laid out courses in great shape, but you have to be too in order to tackle some of the hills. The 1st & 10fh of the east course and the 1st of the west are hits up a hill to an attractive wooded plateau with views towards the Forth bridges. There is a pleasing mix of holes on both courses. On the less challenging west course the last six holes take you down into a valley well below the hotel before battering your way back up. The east course sperates the men from the boys on the last six. I'm probably still a bit immature.Great for a golf break at the hotel, or an easy day trip from Edinburgh or even Glasgow.
