What the club says: Turnhouse Golf Club is situated in the west of Edinburgh near Edinburgh airport.
The course is a par 69 of 6060 yards with two par 5s and a variety of short holes ranging from 107 yards to 248 yards in length. It is a fair, yet challenging, test for golfers of all standards with opportunities for birdies. The greens are generally large, but subtle slopes make putting a test of one’s abilities.

From it's vantage point at the top of Lennie Hill, Turnhouse Golf Course offers stunning 360 degree views and on a clear day you can see the mountains of the Scottish Highlands to the North, the River Forth and Edinburgh to the East and the Pentland Hills to the South.

The practice facilities are amongst the best in the area. The practice ground itself was transformed into a range last year with players able to hit balls without the need to pick them up. Mats have been installed for winter play on the range, but players are able to hit off grass during the summer months, a feature which is not commonly available with other public or private ranges locally. In addition there is a short game area with a pitching green, practice bunkers and two putting greens maintained to the same standard as the greens on the course.

Wet

A very wet day and the course held up well despite the time of year. Some challengeing holes and some very nice looking ones too.

Well worth a visit

This is a good course, well designed with no repetition, the course is hilly but its worth the trek for the views.

Greens were in excellent condition. Par threes are of varied length and nicely spaced out over the 18 holes. A little too many blind shots have to be hit but there are markers which certainly helped. Good positioning is rewarded and poor shots are punished. Friendly bar staff and great soup! Every club in the bag was needed and it suits all ability of golfers. Excellent practice facilities with two greens, 300+ yard driving range and two greens to chip to with multiple flags and a choice of bunkers.

i thought it was on the bit hilly side you walk up a hill to get to the first tee then you hit a blind tee shot after that you go up and down hills for a gd few holes then 10th is the hardest hole on the course hittingup a hill which shapes to the left 430yard par 4 there is a ball washer at every hole aswell we turned up as visitors and hade to fill in a form which i have never done at anyother course i have been a visitor at dident go in the clubhouse so cant rate it
