Short and pretty easy course, although some greens can be tricky. The only Par five on this course is a long long straight hole, reachable in two by big hitter....reaching in 3 is still doing well.

Played the east course on Saturday the 25th of June, the course was in great nick apart from the bunkers which were very hard to play from as the sand was very compact with some stones in them.
The stand out holes were the 13th, 14th and 18th very tough driving holes where you have to hit your driver at least 250yds to have a chance of parting them.
We then played the west course on the 26th of June the course was in great Nick and the bunkers were a lot better as they had probably dried out a bit, although the course is a par 68 and only 5000yds don't let that fool you the fairways are tight and sometimes a driver is not needed as the par 4s are on average 300 yds, the stand out holes are the par 4 15th with OB left and trouble right and the 100 yard par 3 16th, what a lovely looking hole with a stream running in front of the green ( don't be short).
Overall we had a great weekend and the weather was great, the golf however could of been better we had in our group a 6 handicapper who shot 29 pts on the east course however he had 38pts on the west course but the overall winner was a 10 handicapper who had 30 pts on the east course but 40 pts on the west course.
My advice is go to Dalmahoy it is a good test of golf no matter which course you play.

Played West Course. Looks intimidating but was actually a joy to play. Quite forgiving for myself but there are two holes which could easily ruin a good card on back nine. Well manicured but not false. Greens were very good and fairways were lush. Take a sandwich and stop after the ninth. Recharge the batteries.
