Green is the grass of home

Good course, some fairly average holes (par 3 1st hole for instance should be scrapped or shortened slightly and have water / bunkers surrounding the green) but there are some stunning holes and a good challenge.

Good course post lockdown

Good course and really decent twilight value for money. Course in decent shape. Greens not too bad. One thing that does need some work are the tee boxes. Sometimes difficult to get a flat stance.

Nicely designed course. Worth a visit

Played this in good weather under a 2 for 1 deal, so great value. Good VFM breakfast at the club house beforehand and played behind a fairly large society that had stayed at the hotel overnight with positive feedback. Practice facilities were basic, but pace of play once we got going was good considering the large group in front of us. Course was challenging, but fair and makes you think - you certainly don't need your driver out on every tee. The greens were in great condition, very true and often difficult to read, the rough was penal but fair and the bunkers I visited were excellent. I enjoyed my first visit, but thought some of the holes needed a bit of TLC - especially the tee boxes which were uneven, messy and often difficult to push a tee into. Overall though, I would play again and recommend a visit. Can't comment on post round food as the society in front of us seemed to have cleared the menu, but the staff were friendly and the refreshing ale on the patio by the 18th green was very enjoyable!

Returned to play in seniors open for a second year and had a lovely day, a warm welcome, a well organised day and a course in superb condition with the greens being some of the best I've played this year.

Well kept. Greens in great condition, nice course with good challenges re how to play each hole. Only issue being a large amount of tees were not flat making it hard for mid-high handicappers

I took part in the Seniors open and had a great day, the course was beautiful, and the greens were a pleasure to putt on, the hospitality from the club members was very kind and the meal was fantastic, will return next year for more of the same. (Round played: Aug 2014- Score 92 Handicap 22.5)

The greens were excellent, fast, firm and true. Good course management needed round it as there's loads of ponds and ditches, but can't fault the course or friendly clubhouse staff.

The course looks excellent and the greens have improved on last year as true and quick, only problem is it's a slow round on weekends.

What a change! I played here about 8 years ago and vowed to not return due to the poor state of the course. My society booked a day here and I must admit I tried to talk them out of it. The management have invested in the course and I must say its paying dividends as the course was in brillant condition. A mix of short and long holes that make you think your way round and not just blast away, the small size of the greens means accuracy is the key to success. Tough but fair with with lovely true greens to putt on. A very enjoyable afternoon.
