Course much improved by new clubhouse facilities. Course is well maintained, good greens. Quite a pull up some of the holes - hilly for Essex!

For the time of year and the weather we have been experiencing the course is in good condition. Investment is clearly taking place to improve the course and it will undoubtedly improve as the season progress.

Some changes here since take over by Play Golf but the new clubhouse is still being built. Course is reasonable

This course has definitely improved since I last played it, particularly the fairways. But the bunkers still need a lot of attention - much too hard and stony. Nice friendly people in good pro shop and very reasonable prices for a round. Good driving range but bar needs a major refurbishment.

Quite a tight course and the fairways greens were in good condition for the time of year - and no doubt will get better into the summer.
Clubhouse tries hard and is friendly - although a little bit like a transpoert cafe. American Golf shop onsite is good.
Some long walks between a few tees - and a few hills so awkward lies.
Very friendly, the course beat me but is ultimately fair (just my bad golf on the day) and foa pay and play is a very good standard.

Lexden Wood is a much improved course from a year ago, the greens are receptive, even in this hot dry weather we've had recently. The course has seen the benefit of last years heavy top dressing and spiking of some fairways and all the greens. The greenkeepers are performing miracles, really improving the place.
