nice course BUT see review
Nice course with some interesting holes, position from tee crucial, 6 par 3,s 4 par 5,s and some long par 4,s greens not particularly fast or slow but true. The BUT could do with signs for next tee or map on score card as next hole not always obvious.(Round played: Oct 2020 - Score: 97 Handicap: 21.8)

Nice course and super large fast greens
Good practice facilities before you start your round, nice bacon roll and coffee, Covid safe in the clubhouse

Cracking Course
Course in excellent condition. Tees, fairways and greens are really good and well maintained. Bunkers are pretty awful, but understand that lots of work is planned for these in the coming months. The course is a real challenge, but the layout is superb. Every hole has something interesting about it. The clubhouse is very comfortable and the service is excellent. The outdoor area, overlooking the 9th and 18th greens is lovely. The welcome is a very warm one and the food is really top notch.

Excellent course worth a visit
Each shot requires thought but still some holes for the big hitters. The stroke index one needs a well placed drive.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 90 Handicap: )

Okay
I must admit Colne valley is not one of my most favourite clubs but it does what it says on the tin . Fairways and greens in good condition but if you go in the rough you can be in big trouble as it’s very overgrown(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 101 Handicap: 22.9)

Curate’s Egg
There are some very good features on the course. It is challenging, with some narrowing fairways between the trees; it is an attractive course; its greens are well kept. However, the bunkers are not well kept, with many stones and weeds in them (I know the answer is to stay out of the bunkers!).(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 94 Handicap: 25.9)

Hidden Gem in North Essex
Not the cheapest or the most challenging of courses but very well kept and maintained and a real pleasure to play

Great course
A challenge for mid handicap player. Course in good condition although greens were very firm for March. Pro shop very friendly, service in bar slow despite being almost empty! One of favourite courses in Essex, will return soon.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 105 Handicap: 20)

1st visit
Our first visit and we were very impressed. The course is beautiful and even though it’s January the conditions were top quality. Well drained, firm fairways and immaculate greens. The hole variation is interesting & every hole poses a challenge. Cannot day enough good things about the course, members and hospitality in the clubhouse. Very excited to get back there again, I imagine it is stunning in the spring/summer.

Great Parkland course.
One of the better courses in Essex during the summer months.A great mixture of longer and shorter holes combined with the 6 par 3's means your iron game will have to be on form if you want to score well around here.
Some of the tee shots provoke thought from the tee and then greens can be the courses greatest protection.
Can get slightly wet during the winter but that goes for most courses in the area.

great course worth visiting
Saturday tee time at 10.20 for £22. Absolute bargain for a really enjoyable course. Greens were rolling out nicely for the time of year and rain, fairways were good. Really worth visiting.(Round played: Nov 2018 - Score: 87 Handicap: 11.2)

Fantastic Find
Played this course for the first time as our normal choice was unavailable due to a competion. This is an excellent course for all levels, in very good condition for the time of year and very good value for money. Clubhouse staff extremely friendly and we were made to feel very welcome.
