Lovely little hidden gem. Greens in perfect condition and not a pitchmark in sight.
Water comes into play on a few holes as well.
Some of the holes going up and down the valley are very fun.
Nothing the same and a test for all golfers.
Will definitely be back.

The course was in great condition. Not the longest course but some nice holes and it feels like a longer course.
The greens were a credit to the course. Fantastic condition, fast and tricky. Never a straight putt which always makes things interesting.
Nice use of water around the course and some interesting par 3's. Definitely worth a visit.
The added bonus was the breakfast. First class English breakfast !!!!

Cracking Course
Course in excellent condition. Tees, fairways and greens are really good and well maintained. Bunkers are pretty awful, but understand that lots of work is planned for these in the coming months. The course is a real challenge, but the layout is superb. Every hole has something interesting about it. The clubhouse is very comfortable and the service is excellent. The outdoor area, overlooking the 9th and 18th greens is lovely. The welcome is a very warm one and the food is really top notch.Reviewer Rating

1st visit
Our first visit and we were very impressed. The course is beautiful and even though it’s January the conditions were top quality. Well drained, firm fairways and immaculate greens. The hole variation is interesting & every hole poses a challenge. Cannot day enough good things about the course, members and hospitality in the clubhouse. Very excited to get back there again, I imagine it is stunning in the spring/summer.Reviewer Rating

Great Parkland course.
One of the better courses in Essex during the summer months.A great mixture of longer and shorter holes combined with the 6 par 3's means your iron game will have to be on form if you want to score well around here.
Some of the tee shots provoke thought from the tee and then greens can be the courses greatest protection.
Can get slightly wet during the winter but that goes for most courses in the area.

Fantastic Find
Played this course for the first time as our normal choice was unavailable due to a competion. This is an excellent course for all levels, in very good condition for the time of year and very good value for money. Fantastic course while worth visiting, "Hidden gem in Constable Country", have played there a few times now, always welcoming, in very good condition, tight in places, and the Greens play well.

Hidden Gem
Awesome course, hadn't heard of this course before but I would recommend this to anyone. Slightly higher price, but well worth it. The course is in excellent condition, with the greens at a fast pace. Everyone at the club was friendly and people on the course were happy to give tips to us newbies. The 9th and 18th have a shared green in front of the clubhouse which is always a nice touch.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 87 Handicap: 12)

Great summer course
Played Colne Valley a couple of years ago early in the year and it was really badly waterlogged. They have clearly been working on the course and given the recent dry weather it is in fantastic condition. At £21 (Sunday afternoon, 2 ball), it was brilliant value for money. Would definitely recommend it as long as there hasn't been too much wet weather.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: 16.1)

Beautiful golf course
This golf course is just a dream to play every hole is very different to the last the greens are fast and true the grounds staff have done a great job of presenting the course the welcome in the pro shop was very friendly and the bar is clean and tidy but on a summers evening the place to be is out on the terrace over looking the valleyThe only let down was the bunkers with no soft sand in them at all
But at a cost of £18 on line can’t be bad

A little gem
A pretty and challenging track. Great views, especially from the clubhouse, which overlooks the ninth and eighteenth greens and across the valley. Every hole has something about it.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 97 Handicap: 16.3)

Great day out
Super condition despite the very wet winter/spring. The greens were very good, running true and consistent and relatively fast. The layout is great, and no two holes seemed the same. Lovely views and some very pretty holes. We played as part of a small society. The staff and members were very friendly, and the post game sandwiches and chips were excellent.
