Wow played at Playgolf on the 1/8/2014
How the club has come on the new club house and changing rooms
Are outstanding the changing rooms are to a very high standard they also have two
Saunas that you can use free of charge after your round.
The course is great with some very hard holes the 8th water is great I almost lost one there :-)
The walk over the 10th is a little up and down so next time I will be getting a buggy.
The food in the club house is very modern the pizzas are great they have a wood fired pizza oven
Overall a great day out I'll be returning soon.

I played yesterday, the course was fantastic and in very good condition. Well worth a visit. The new clubhouse that has been built is great too, friendly and helpful staff. I hit balls before I played and they even have Power Tees on the range

Wow!
What a great golf Course!
Lexden Wood has come on leaps and bounds. I played Lexden Wood 3 years ago as a 8 handicap thinking this place needs improving, I am a now four handicap so i have alot of experience of various golf courses, i heard there had been alot of money invested and heard alot of good reports!
But blimey i was not expecting that! one of the best courses i have played this year and 100% the most improved a true quality Club. the course was evidently relatively new but it was in good condition the greens were as good as anywhere to get that quality of green elsewhere you would have to pay atleast £50!
Honestly golfers treat yourself a great day out

Played here earlier in September 2020, never played the course before and was a bit sceptical of the 'Play Golf' franchise (not sure why). Was pleasantly surprised, excellent facilities and the course played exceptionally well compared to others in Essex at this time of year. Greens were easily some of the best I've played on after some of the weather we have had recently, fairways were a bit dry but the rough was well maintained. Challenging short course, with lots of walking and views across Essex (if you can forgive the A12). Will be going back and considering becoming a member at this course.

Great course

Enjoyable but slow
