I don't usually do 'reviews'....
Played Hockley on 13th September 2023 - first time there - welcoming manager - good food - great course (one of the best I've played) - long enough to be challenging but no hole too daunting - very well presented with immaculate turf management - enjoyed the undulating greens, valley layout and views across the city of Winchester. Very enjoyable first experience of Hockley .... and will be back again for another round.Reviewer Rating

Wonderful
Played the course this afternoon in really heavy rain, despite changing my glove on 3 occasions it was a thoroughly enjoyable round, The course was stunning and presented a different challenge on each hole. The greens were undulating which added character to wonderful course. Definitely worth playing and can’t wait to return on a dry day.Reviewer Rating

Great course
Wonderful experience. Stopped off on our way to the south coast on holiday, immediately made to feel welcome, busy on that day but only waited 30 mins, still only took 4 hours to get around. Every hole interesting and a pleasure and greens in good condition and with big slopes. Oh and some great views. A fair and excellent test of golf and well worth the green fee.Reviewer Rating

Great course

First time round here. Cracking course in great condition. Nice course to walk as it rises slowly, flattens out in the middle, then drops back to the clubhouse later on. Nice variety throughout the course and gives you a decent chance. Nice clubhouse, good food and welcoming. Look forward to playing again.

First visit to Hockley.
A very well maintained course and lovely clubhouse.
Course was ideal for me as a mid-high handicapper. Not too many long holes but a challenge nonetheless, with some testing greens.
Will certainly return again soon.

A challenging downs course with long par 4s and greens worthy a spot on the tour.
You expect this course to be hilly followed by more hills, but this is not the case as the course layout cleverly smooths the gradients and it does not feel you have been for a climb.
The greens are a real test, quick and undulating.
I suspect Hockley is playable in all seasons including our very wet summers.
