Although i like this course, it is an exhausting walk espically the back 9, on this occasion the greens were very unevenly cut, which made it difficult to get the hang of them as some were slow

The course is in good condition and with 27 holes offers plenty of variety. The course is a little short, but the small greens with plenty of undulation make up for the length. Would recommend a buggy as there are lots of ups and downs.

Played here today using the Q Hotel free round voucher, and my partner was only charged £20. The newer (Valleys?) 9 hole was short, unexciting and a real disappointment (typical municipal type course) - make sure you DON'T get put on this unless you want a gentle warmup !!!!

The first 9 holes of the proper, original course was excellent but again, sign markers were lacking throughout, although course condition was generally good, except for the rough (very rough indeed - 12 inches of grass). Had to rely on the small black & white layout map. Drinks machine outside pro shop, toilets hidden inside the hotel building and tiny practice putting green.

Highly challenging for the high handicapper and physically UNFIT (buggy needed) !! I have never seen so many young golfers on buggies. Excellent views over the lakes and beyond on the PROPER course but unfortunately did not get to play the back 9. Best to avoid the weekends.

A good course, it is short, but, offers plenty of challenges in controlling position off the tea. When we played the greens were in good order and seriously quick. Facilities are excellent and the hotel staff were particularly welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this course and think it particularly suites the more accurate golfer.

After looking at the course from my hotel room it looked very inviting and in good condition. I wasn't disappointed, although it was rather short. You couldnt just take out the driver off the tee, position was essential for many of the dog-legs. The greens were in good condition , very quick but true. The hotel itself is good for a lads golf break or a group of golfers/non golfers who can use the spa facilities too..... forgot to mention, only £10 for 18 holes at 4pm

Played all 27holes in one day on 7th sept 2010.
Found the staff to be very friendly and extremely helpful, specially when booking on phone.
Bit of a weird set up regards the pro-shop... Its situated at the back and underneath the main hotel! Which makes finding it for 1st time guests a bit hard.
Red & Blue courses are there main and they class them as the 18, the green course is ok but not as good as its brothers in our opinion.
All 3 Courses very intersting, no holes the same so it keeps you on your toes.
Greens were in poor condition tho, suffered from drainage issues, bare patches and some infection (even had a few with GUR's actually written on them!) pity tho cause if they had them sorted this would be a little gem of a course!
Warning and word to the wise... Its very hilly - get a buggy!

Pro shop not good and staff iffy. Nice complex and hotel though with nice food. Course very short but very challenging for big hitters. Nine dog legs and numerous blind drives. Greens were firm and in good condition. Fairways many are narrow and most are hilly and even. Dont think i have played so many shots on a fairway that were well above or below my feet.
