Bring your wellies
Played here a few times and is generally a nice course.. although a bit short.. however played Sunday and was very wet and boggy.. still had to pay full price which was disappointing as the course had one hole that was out of use. They probably should have shut the course as was unplayable...Reviewer Rating

Very short course so perhaps better for higher handicap players like myself to get some confidence! Tee times weren't kept to so we ended up teeing off 20 minutes later than booked but it soon spread out. Paid ?24 each for a 3 ball on a Sunday morning. Score 90, HC 26.

Course is very short and very forgiving. The greens are well designed but in poor condition (probably due to the wet winter). Good for beginners but not much of a test for weekly golfers.

Course ok, buggies need to be replaced as they are older than Epping forest itself, the course plays well.

Very short but fast greens
Very short par 68 at 4900 yards, greens were in great shape. Played too short really for low to mid handicappers, had some interesting holes though. Slow round stuck behind 3 balls.Reviewer Rating

Considering the time of year, the course is in good condition, some greens are better than others, but given the amount of Rain recently it is only to be expected.

Course is in good condition, short but protected by the greens, clubhouse is basic with no draught beer. Well worth a visit

Short but interesting course
I have played at Epping regularly over the years and played with two friends in January 2022. The course is physically quite challenging because of its hilly nature. As it is quite a short course, we usually play off the whites (5434 yards) and did so this time. There are some interesting holes as well as some more straightforward ones, which we like. Although it is very close at one point on the course to the M25/M11 junction, this does not affect the enjoyment of playing.The clubhouse is fairly basic but has had an extension to the eating area inside in the last few years. The toilets and changing areas are also rather basic. What sets Epping apart from all other golf courses we have played at is the quality of the staff, be it reception, catering staff or ground staff. They are the most friendly and helpful of any golf club we have ever been to, bar none!
We all enjoyed our round and will definitely be back.
