For a municipal course the conditions are generally very good, (considering the amount of wet weather lately), and well kept by the green keepers. The two courses, 9 hole par 3 and the main par 36 are long and testing. The par 3 isn't a pitch & putt, the average handicap players should take along all their clubs. The main course is interesting with 4 long par 4 s to let your driver loose. The first hole par 5 is a little daunting when playing off the white tee, but OK after that. On the downside the course is close to a residential area where all the locals seem to have dogs and bring them on the course, for you know what! Not only locals, but some come by car with their mutts.

Very long and tricky course, some people say good for beginners but some people say its hard to get your handicap down on this course, either way its a challenge, Greens are very good for public, defo nice to walk round, shame not many water hazards, but i only paid a fiver, fantastic......

Good for beginners or if you are on your own and need to practice at a cheap course. Greens are poor because its public but 9 holes plays long so you can test your long game out.

I really like this course, it is within walking distance of my house so I've played it often. Really excellent fairways for the money and the greens are soft and of a medium pace. It is pretty long and if you don't get a good tee shot away you'll struggle.
The par three is not a pitch and putt! The par three has got some really good length holes and will have most golfers reaching for there 3-iron!

Just a 9 hole course but enjoyable. There is also a par3 course which is not as easy as it sounds.

An excellent course even though it is a public course. Greens were excellent and the general condition and the layout of the coure was superb. Although a nine hole course I didn't get bored a second time around. A definate must if you can play when its not busy, we got stuck behind a few hackers at times. Overall a great test of golf and a surprise that is has so many hackers on as its a long course and a difficult test. If you think you can play a bit then this is a must, tight fairways, small greens and lots of hazards and out of bounds.

A great course for beginners and high handicappers. For a municipal course the greens and fairways are in good shape (plays on main greens nearly all year, only heavy and prolonged frost sees the use of temporaries). All fairways come up to the tees and are wide and forgiving. It is a long course with 4 of the 5 par 4s over 400 yards. Only green side bunkers and all to the side of the greens. Two ponds but only one comes into play and you do not have to hit over it. The hidden hazard is the ridge and furrow on four fairways and the gentle slopes on the others which means not too many shots are from flat lies.

A 9 hole course, Edwalton is still a challenge. Its municipal but very well kept. Theres trees, heavy rough and some water, as well as an ever changing OOB and 9th hole (very close to some nice houses with conservatories!). The first par 4 course I played, I'm still very happy to break 50 for 9 holes. Currently priced about £9 for 9, its not bad value, and you can usually get a tee time (although I have played a few 9 holes nearing the 3 hour mark due to the quality of some of the "golfers" - me included in the early days!). A good course if you want a challenge, but don't have time for 18.

a intresting and testing 9 hole course , ofen dismissed as a hackers playground ,unfairly . a number of blind tee shots ensure you should be accurate .greens arent the best and a genarally flat and easy to read but are fairly well maintained as are the fairways . very undulating a good game is needed here .can be very busy at weekends
prices are reasnable
