Well worth the visit
A beautifully manicured parkland course with tricky greens. Don't be put off with the fact it is a 9 hole, it is a wonderful challenge with some very tricky holes and alternating tees which makes the back 9 a different challenge. Excellent and beautiful course, quite long even if you only play 9 holes. Can't agree with what's been said negatively about the rough here, I don't think it's particularly long. Greens excellent, can't talk about the bunkers as I managed to avoid them. If you want to be really picky you could call the fairways to be on the hard side but all within reason. Didn't have much time to enjoy the clubhouse and facilities as it was late and we had to race the daylight.

Ok, So lets go through this... The golf club has been flooded 3 times within 6 months, the greens were affected because of laying water for so long, the greens staff have to do work on the greens to maintain them and insure they are in good nick.. The dryness off the greens is currentley being dealt with by using sprinklers and hoses. Also I dont understand why you have such a problem with there being a card system? People keep their belongings in the changing rooms and there will be security locks. Food is unfortunatley only available on certain days of the week. A credit card system will hopefully be taken on soon. \I hope this clears things up for you.........

Can i please just say that the comments from Dan Walker and bennett/ruislip are not right.. I Play datchet all the time and i can assure you that when you play there you will have a good time.. the fairways are brilliant and tight, the first cut which is semi rough is actually cut at around 2 inches
and is very easy to get out of,
the rough is a challenge, but what do you expect if you go in it?? The greens can be a little bumpy sometimes when work has been done to them but what do you expect? Greens not to be maintained and kept in good healthy condition, As for the bunkers, most of them do have sand in them but a few are a little low,
THERE IS NO WAY. the members are rude, times have changed and its a very welcoming place, the clubhouse is lovely and well kept with clean glasses and food supplied as and when needed. I enjoy playing golf at datchet and is highly reccomended as people think it is easy but it really is not.

Datchet may only have 9 holes but with its 15 different tee positions your round is nothing but repetitive.
The fairways throughout the summer were very well kept however were prone to drying out but were still very much playable throughout the very hot dry weather. Throughout the winter they are a lush green and a joy to hit off.
The greens are some of the best I have ever played on. They are slow in places and like lightening elsewhere so reading greens correctly is paramount.
The bar, clubhouse and changing facilities are all excellent. The only let down is the lack of driving range however they have a very nice practice area for putting, bunkers, chipping and full swings although you have to go and get your balls back!
I have since become a member at Datchet and I can thoroughly recommend it both as a member and for a great round of golf.

Has the quality of an 18 hole golf course, sadly its only 9, but with 15 different tees it's still as good as 18.

Great value course
Wanted a round at short notice and this was a great deal on GolfNow hot deal.Course in great nick despite the weather and more of the fairways and rough cut back, with the result that I did not lose any balls despite a few wayward shots! Greens ran true as usual. Very accommodating course to play on your own compared to others in the area.

Very good value
Two lots of 9 holes, most with different tee positions, and so interesting range and always challenging. Some difficult long par 4's and two very dfficult par 3's. After previous reviews of long rough and fairway, the course had been cut and was in great nick and I didn't even lose one ball, despite occasional wayward shots. Greens particularly good and fast. Challenging course
Not an easy course with longer par 4's than usual, especially so in the winter when there's not much carry! Greens very quick and well kept though and the course always interesting to play.Reviewer Rating

Good challenge
Good challenge all year round but especially in winter as very little carry and the long par 4's are a real test, not to mention the very difficult par 3 9th/18th holes.Greens pretty quick and fairways ok but could do with another cut.
Great value for money though.

Great value course
Great value compared to other local courses particularly at the weekend and bank holidays.Tough course which IMHO doesn't reflect its SR as has long par 4's and penal rough if off the fairway. Greens in good nick.

Good challenge
Tough course in these muddy conditions and poorly hit shots are punished. Couse a bit muddy but good otherwise and greens were as true as ever. Great challenge.Reviewer Rating

Quirky course
Only 9 holes but most of the back 9 are in different positions and so still interesting.Hadn't played the course for a few months and impressed how good the greens were, fast and true. Fairways were a bit long in places but overall very good, and very good value. Tough course with no easy holes.

worth visiting
Nice 9 hole course with some different tees on the back 9. Quite tough, tight course which punishes poor drives (as it should do!). Course in very good nick and greens particularly quick. Clubhouse very friendly and great value compared to others visited. WARNING - if booking on club's website, as I tried to do, beware that it may decline and ask you to enter a new password. In my case, this happened twice and so I ended up ringing the club and apparently the booking site is the same as teeoff and so it had me down as already registered. However, it doesn't mention this anywhere and so no need to register if you are with tee off. When pointed out, I was given some waffly answer and no apology.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 94 Handicap: 19.3)

Hi 'Bracknell' I myself have just played a round at Datchet and totally disagree with you! I Dont no when you went there but i can tell you that i was able to clean my shoes.. i didnt find any dye on the pathways so i dont no when you went there? As for coffee machines i found the cups and saucers ok and felt welcomed, im sure that the main reason the clubhouse locker rooms were locked was because of security, i found the greens a little bumpy but it looked like they had been worked on recentley and this has happened at a number of courses i have played, hope this changes peoples minds!

A good day out ,spoilt. Fairways & greens ok, but first cut at least three inches hence ball completely covered and difficult to find.As for the rough a total loss of ball.

Good value course
As expected, course was a bit muddy and so not much carry which made the long par 4's even longer than usual! Thick rough around the fairway and just off the greens made it frustrating to find some shots and likewise with leaves on the fairway.
