Good Value course but very boggy & waterlogged in places - best to wait for summer I think as greens in particular boggy & soft underfoot leaving footprints from previous players

Played Crookhill in the winter when understandably due to weather most greens and some holes were not in use. We enjoyed the layout and saw it's potential. We came back last week looking forward to playing but we're disappointed that the fairways were full of dandelions and the grass very long. The tee box areas were also quite scruffy and long. On a positive note the greens were excellent and the staff are helpful and friendly. This course would be good value compared to others in the area with a bit of a trim.

Saturday Afternoon 12th March £16.00.
Course in poor condition, it would appear to have been over used in wet conditions. Some fairway areas and green approaches bald of grass. Greens in use with some temporary tee mats.
Play exceptionally slow, 2 to 3 minute wait at every tee from 6 to 18.

Hit and Miss, But Challenging
I have been here when the greens were terrible, but lately they have been put back in shape and its worth a visit again. It suffers from vandalism, but thats not their fault. Finding your balls amongst the leaves is tiring on some holes, but the challenge of the course is really good. The 11th is one of the hardest holes around and the par 3 7th is a good 3 wood to reach (!). Been playing it a lot lately and will return again soon.Reviewer Rating

Greens and fairways are in very good condition. 9 and 15 are cracked/scuffed on the outside due to hot weather last year, tlc needed. Bunker 8 has weeds, GUR! Rough areas are being cut down and tidied up as they should, sprinklers have been uncovered. A good course, averages 4 hours. What else can you do for that price!

Greens in a terrible state
A local municipal course which is generally known to be underfunded which is such a pity as it could be lovely. The greens were in awful condition so thankfully we were just visiting as if I were a member I wouldn't be happy. Course lay out is ok, but I would say there are many better options in Doncaster for ?17 a round which are better cared for. We won't be going back for a while.Reviewer Rating
