WOW What poor conditions.
The greens were awful,
Thatch and dry cracks
Weeds in bunkers
£17 a round for very poor conditions
Bar area good and staff friendly
I will return he again but only for a pint in the bar.

Very poor condition

Such a shame. Played here ten or so years back and it was a nice course, sadly been allowed into decline. Very good layout with plenty of potentially nice and testing holes but upkeep totally lacking. Grass and weeds in some bunkers, next to no sand in one I landed in. Fairways bordering ok but then you find a patch int middle that seemed to have evaded the mower. Greens with patches of different and longer grass making putting a total gguessing game. Could be a lovely course but currently disappointing.

we booked mid week for a tee time this sunday 25-5-2014 for 8:36 am, we got there well before our tee time, waiting for our turn we was greeted by a four ball team before us who are members, one member who was using crutches to aid his walking dictated to us there is another four ball members who was coming up behind us and we would have to wait, sorry but if we book a tee time then we have the right, they had no manners, kept entering there score whilst on greens holding us up, to boot the fairways could do with a cut at least once this year, the weather doesn\'t bother us we play regardless of rain but those fairways was the worst by far, out of rating 1-10 would give it a 3, we play a lot of course try new ones out for our works society, and may i say this course and the mannerism of the members would deter our society members to let us choose venues ever again, a course to go down in the book as not to be played ever again.\

Just awful. A reasonable layout that just needs looking after, even a simple run with a mower would be an improvement. Again, just awful!

Have played this course every Saturday for the past 12 years. The last 2 years it has gone rapidly downhill. Greens are painfully slow, fairways are never cut short and the rough has been left to grow to stupid levels. It used to be an absolute gem, very sad as it has the potential to be great but unfortunately the people who now run it don't have a clue.

club shop poor, greens not in great condition , not many holes had yardage markers , no scorecards just bits of paper to use (dint help with the weather)..course has taken a massive nosedive used to be one of the best kept in the area not in any rush to play again

I dont think i will be playing here again. After all this lovely weather we have had, i would have expected at the very least the grass to be cut. The greens were like fairways, fairways like roughs etc. Oh and the score card we recieved was a bit of paper because they had 'ran out'! If your paying for a round of golf, there are certain things you expect. It provided non of them in all honesty.

our society have played crook hill several times in the past , this is why we like to return , but on this occasion we were very disappointed as all the greens were disgusting and we could not hole out a put
