The course was in beautiful condition. There was some work being done to the sprinkler system on all fairways but we were warned about this ahead of the day and it was simply a case of having a free drop for GUR if your ball ended up in these areas. The greens were fantastic and very fast. I didn’t struggle getting players for this one and it was obvious why. I’m sure we’ll take even more next year. Can’t recommend Cowdray enough. Great staff, great views, great course and superb value for money in my opinion.

Great golf course, amazing views, good condition considering the weather and a lovely member of staff at the halfway hut serving refreshments. A fantastic way to spend 3 hours or so.Reviewer Rating

South Downs wonder views
3 hour drive from the midlands. Wasn’t disappointed when I finally got off the tiny single track roads from the A3. Wonderful club house and made to feel very welcome by the staff! Golf was good, views were amazing and a hilly course! So hard going at times! Some nice elevated tees like on 4 and 5 were standouts! Only negative was the course layout at times meant waiting for a double green to clear which caused a delay for 2 matches. Overall very pleasant but nothing amazing If I lived in the area I’d probably play by golf elsewhere but enjoy an occasional round here!If I lived in the area

Annual Hare & Hounds Society Visit
This has now become a staple venue for our society based in Worthing. Firstly, a great buffet style brekkie. The course is always in great condition fairways especially were in great shape this visit April 2018. Interesting undulating greens and bunkers with plenty of sand! Great views of the South Downs and friendly unassuming staff. See you in 2019. Many thanks for giving us another great golf day.Reviewer Rating

Society Day
We had an another excellent day at Cowdray Park. Every part of our day was excellent. A substantial and delicious Breakfast before Golf, 18 holes on a course that was in great condition when you take into account the time of year and the recent stormy weather. The greens were excellent and tested our putting more than usual for this time of year. The Stroke index's had changed from our visit last year which caught a few of us out as we had worked out in our heads where we were going to score those extra stapledord points. Our two course Carvery Evening meal was equally as delicious and plentiful, the Sussex Licensee's GS do love a buffet style breakfast and dinner!!! Everyone at the club is so helpful and accommodating, we return every year and are delighted each time. Never known the course to be closed and is therefore in our opinion the best course you could play in January for a perfect day. Value for money exceptional golf day experience. Many thanksSussex Licensee's GS

Better courses nearby!
Played at this parkland course expecting great things after reading the reviews on this site. Left Completely disappointed and very wet. Being a clay golf course I’m sure I should have expected the conditions after rain but nowhere near worth £60.00. There’s a course just south that offers much better value and customer service for half the price.Reviewer Rating
