Get Golfing took over the management of this course from MyTime Active on 1 October. They have a very difficult task of getting this course back into a reasonable condition. The greens are the worst I have played on for 40 years.

Impossible Putting

As a 4 ball we payed over ?100 myself paying ?35 and when we went out playing every single hole was covered in brown divots making it impossible to putt, wil not be going back.

A frosty start

Not sure where to start really, price reflects the current course and clubhouse!

Played 2 times over the last month and both times the clubhouse inside is cold, apparently the heating isn't working so for at least the last month the poor staff there have been working in cold conditions with only a couple of portable heaters to keep them warm! as you can imagine I wouldn't want to eat in a cold clubhouse... which worked out well because even on weekends the 2 times I have aged we couldn't get food because there was no chef onsite.

anyhow, the course has suffered with waterlogging in recent years and it seems this year its the same, for me I know what to expect so it's not a real problem but around the greens and most of the fairways are getting really long now.

overall you get what you pay for! but really hope they sort the heating out because anyone would think it's the 1800s not 2024! not a good look for Get Golfing really

Whole course was very wet & boggy. Trolleys not allowed. Fairways, understandably, had not been cut. Hence proved a difficult round. Probably not fair to judge in tese condition as I like this course when it is dry.

good to be back

first game after lockdown and its was good to be out playing. the course was in poor condition with no fairways defined and the greens were poor.
for some reason they were allowing 1 and 2 balls out which made the course very busy. it took us 4.5hrs to play here which is far too long for a short course.
temp tees on every hole and being left handed many of them are set up for right handers and it was impossible to find anywhere to put the tee.

Good be so much better

1st & 2nd holes had temporary greens. These were just circles on the fairway no real effort had been made to make them puttable. In various places on the course there are large areas of what look like ploughed ground. This could be a gem but no effort appears to be being put in to the course. I don't recall ever seeing green keepers working on the course.

This course has being going downhill over the last few years , since covid struck the 2 green keepers are struggling to keep it in the condition it used to be in with parts of the course neglected also trenches were dug for archelogical digs last winter before course refurbishment happens but not levelled out when it was finished and now left for nature to run its course as rough ground under gur regs also all bunkers are gur still as they have not been maintained at all this year , the clubhouse is still only open between 8am and 2pm for food and beverages as staff are still on furlough and will be for the forseeable future even though most tee times are taken daily , it seems my time active is quite happy to charge premium prices to golfers but are not interested in looking after their customer requirements or giving value for money
